For me the best friendlies are those where you play 'senior' opposition. It's not so much about personal skill or technique, but shows who are prepared to raise their game and 'compete'. If you do that in a friendly, you sure will in a tight league game, IMO.

I must confess that Killa was a top man, for me. So many games HE was the one to react to cover a team mate. The downside being, he was often dragged out of position and so leaving us further exposed. There was a pattern - why else would City lose half their Home games ?

 

Sadly for Johny, Fanny NEVER said the same about him, when cooking Bratwurst !

I would be sorry to see Killa go. Whilst I don’t buy into the theory that we have a chronic lack of experience in his case I think he has a wealth of good experience to pass on to the likes of Isherwood and Wood. Generally wouldn’t be In Favour of extending contracts of players his age but would make an exception for him.

We haven't necessarily, it all came from Odsal Bantam saying he has heard a rumour that the club has agreed to release Killa as another League One club has offered him a longer contract. I put it on here asking if anyone else has heard anything and it's suddenly become a reality. Chinese whispers for you!

 

Plus he was great on the radio while injured.
