    Tessa Sanderson is a great athlete but I'm not sure I'd select her over Charlie Wyke.

    Luckily I never said I'd have Hanson over Wyke then, or that might be relevant, especially as I was one of the main ones who wanted Hanson gone on C & B.

    The figure below is 76 in 274 which is far better than the figure you have! Not sure why @Fools Gold@Fools Gold figures are so different.

    Fair enough you did state league, I honestly missed that (multi tasking)!

    However there is still a huge discrepancy in the figures.

    You suggest '39 in 178', whereas the figure for his full City career is 76 in 274! I cannot believe that he played in an extra 96 cup matches and netted 37 goals in those games.

    Back on C&B there use to be a poster who collated all these stats, sadly lost since the plug was pulled.

    The only other person who may have the data to hand is @River_City_Bantam@River_City_Bantam

    Here's what I have, for Hanson's City career. Stats follow this pattern:

    league starts/subs/goals...fa cup starts/subs/goals...league cup starts/subs/goals...minor cups starts/subs/goals...playoffs starts/subs/goals...season total starts/subs/goals

    seasons 2009-2012 in the fourth tier (League 2), 2013-2016 in the third tier (League 1)

    League stats only now:

    In League 2 it's 41 goals in 152 apps (139 starts + 13 subs)
    In League 1 it's 36 goals in 131 apps (108 starts + 23 subs).

    This works out to 0.2697 goals per league app in League 2, and 0.2748 goals per league app in League 1. Remarkably, and perhaps to some, surprisingly, consistent.

    Now add in his post-City stats:

    Sheffield Utd: 16/17 League 1: 10 starts, 4 subs, 1 goal
    Sheffield Utd 17/18 Championship 0 starts, 1 sub, no goals
    Bury: 17/18 League 1: 8 starts, 9 subs, no goals
    Wimbledon 18/19 League 1: 11 starts, 6 subs, 2 goals

    And we get:

    Championship: 0 starts, 1 sub, no goals = 0 goals per app
    League 1: 137 starts, 42 subs, 39 goals = 0.22 goals per app
    League 2: 139 starts, 13 subs, 41 goals = 0.27 goals per app

    He's tailed off, but that was clear in his last season with us already. The injuries haven't helped, and if the back is the main problem, it's likely he will never get back to previous levels even if the effects of aging etc. are discounted.
