Yes Rhodes has said this and maybe the reason Hopkin wasn't worried is because he knew we were stumping up the cash to keep him.

 

I'd be over the moon if Billy Clarke came back. he's perfect for the role Payne plays, and is also versatile enough to play striker, or wide if needed.

He is. Unless you want him to hit a cow's arse with a banjo from two paces.
But as long as we're not relying on him to score goals I'd be very happy to see him back. He'd link beautifully with any of Doyle, Ball, Payne and LOB. Great vision and could pick a pass.

We need not one, but two in my opinion. JOB and Henry have gone, Wright is going, Akpan isn’t exactly reliable.

A quality centra midfielder is our most pressing need.

 

Peterborough don’t want Anderson and Donny don’t want him after his loan, so I doubt we’re getting the quality cm you’re looking for

we've only got LOB and Akpan. we need 2 central midfielders. what we don't need is yet another CB.

How did you come to the most pressing need conclusion? It's like almost every position is a pressing need!!!?

 

Any thoughts on us getting Cummings. he's not playing much for Peterborough (they threatened to send him back). He's Scottish (there's my tenuous link)

Well yeah that’s true. There are 3-4 areas that could all be argued as priority 1.

 

That doesn’t inspire me. I’ll give him time before judging as with all new signings but on the face of it, I think I’d rather have kept JOB.

I seem to remember Anderson being linked with some big clubs a few years back, sure he had lots of potential. Doesn't look like he's reached it yet....

 

We need another CM badly, Akpan clearly isn’t up to speed fitness wise and after that the locker is empty.
