Ignore him. I'm the same post he described Lavery as "decent".

    The bloke is clearly drunk.

Dunno, the last few games we've had no shape whatsoever to create anything. My guess is Adams has reverted to his usual m/o of being defensively set up and going route one. Elliott would fit that style. City have just put up a highlight reel (we all love one of those) and it's pretty much all off the back of crosses from wide out which simply don't do enough of. Unless we have a winger lined up and we go with Tom and Cook upfront. Which I'll admit isn't gonna happen.

We didn't need a bench striker. We have 2 already. At the start of January, we needed a quality forward to challenge Angol and Cook. Someone who'd come in and turn those draws to wins. We've since lost Angol for the season. And our response is to sign a non-scoring unit of a forward, who according to Salford fans, don't think he's very good at being a unit.

A fringe forwardon loan from Salford.

There's not a shred of ambition at this club.

I'm sorry but this is a woeful signing. He may be a good target man but we need a goalscorer and he absolutely isn't that.

New scouting team in place and the best we can come up with is another washed up journeyman from down the road. Give me strength.

Stats wise, hell of some wires crossed here. Don't know where the 1 in 10 comes from??

19 league appearances this season, 11 from the off with 8 substituted on. 4 goals and 3 assists scoring the winner at Port Vale last week.

    https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tom-elliott/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/46805/wettbewerb/GB4/saison/2021

Don't know much about the lad but he's up to speed, underlying stats are nowhere as bad as some suggest.

DA now has a plethora of options (yes, some are not the greatest) but this next few weeks are a bigger test of his ability to find a cohesive squad, hopefully one that is more expensive, that grinds out results.

One thing that can't be overlooked. Our last 5 results are up their with our start to the season. Performance on the eye, well definitely not so.

But I won't lie, I would take 10 points from the next 15, even with the "standard" of football observed lately, especially if DA can integrate the 4 outfield loan signings.

For God sakes give the lad a chance the ink is not dry and your slagging him off
When he came on for Salford 2weeks ago he was a hand full for our defenders
Let's hope our wide men can get crosses in to use his height at 6ft 4 he might reach some of our crosses
Welcome to BCFC look forward to seeing you in a claret & amber shirt

We could do with both but our big need is a physical presence that can hold the ball up to bring players like Walker and Daly into the game. Being honest I am not sure Elliot is the answer but time will tell. But the other additions this January have definitely strengthened the team

This is a depressing signing. Another journeyman, non scoring striker. Every window its the same old crap.

We will be ready for January Sparks told us....
4 goals in 19 appearences is shabby for a striker. Salford binning him off for a reason.

This club doesn't change. And the same people will keep making the same excuses.

Without new ownership and a completely new ethos, this club is going nowhere. Well, nowhere but backwards.

    Banbrotam.

Anyone describing Lavery as "decent" is clearly intoxicated.

Who looked worryingly decent when he came on for Salford against us recently.

I see him as been as effective as Angol, who let's be honest is terrible at leading the line.

He's not exactly a fringe player. Started and scored the only goal against Port Vale, just last week

If you notice, not only is that the type of chance we've been wasting, he also had a significant contribution to their only other chance in a game which Vale fans must wonder how on earth they didn't win.

Let's see what he ends up like. I never thought Angol would be any good and in fairness has been fine.

Probably slagging him off because this shows perfectly clear how much ambition this club has under rupp and Twitter boy. None. Zero. Zilch.

We got turned down by a non league striker for Rochdale, and resort to this lad on the basis he caused our defence a few problems. Our own defenders cause our defence a few problems it doesn't take much for any striker to do the same.

The only way we'll ever get out of this mediocrity is change from the top down, rupp and Twitter boy out and get an owner with some fecking ambition and a CEO who knows what he's doing not just what he learned from Rhodes in a 6 month crash course

Robinson, Lavery and Elliot - id much prefer those wages were used on 1 credible striker, backed up by a young youth loan.

When are City going to learn about quality over quantity. Get ya quality in then yse the loan market and academy to boost the quantity.

We just seem to fill our squads with endless shite

For L2 Lavery is decent. We've not seen him at his best, because he's always coming back from injuries - but there has been cameos which show that when fully fit (which he must be now) he'll be a good L2 impact player.

We've history of writing strikers off even when they are half good, i.e. Hanson. Let's not go through the sheer embarrassment of the abuse Doyle got on these boards. Even Wyke got 'meh' responses on here.

Andy Cook had scored 2 in 24 appearances when we signed him. Hasn’t turned out too shabby!
