The season ticket campaign has a budget and the spend and activity will ramp up nearer the deadline. Previous campaigns have shown us that sales increase exponentially towards the deadline so it makes sense to focus activity around the key buying activity.

Before then it's about raising awareness. So we have;

1. JCT Car wraps where we are visiting businesses, communities and fan groups publishing PR/Photo stories on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
2. Supported leaflets, T-Shirts and Banners
3. Adverts on the Pulse Radio
4. Adverts in the T & A
5. Ad boards on major roads

Going forward we have a campaign schedule to send out e-shots, SMS and Google/Facebook PPC and banner re-marketing to current and past season ticket holders and connected audiences.

We've also had some really valuable input from Approach PR to help us shape the remaining campaign.

The focus of 'Our City' was inspired by fan feedback and singing; "We've got our City back". It's our club, it's a community club run by fans for fans. So the 'Our City' campaign is heavily focussed on fans, why they come, what they most enjoy, their best memories etc.

As we move towards the deadline, the focus will be on the deadline, don't miss out, and calls to action to buy now.

I agree. There's a cafe on Brammall Lane, used by both Home and Away supporters ........... Does roaring trade at every Home Sheff U fixture.

But we have a big issue with GDPR. If people haven't 'opted in' then we cannot deliver. And that MASSIVELY restricts our send ability. I'm speaking to GDPR experts and our CRM provider to try and resolve this whilst staying compliant.

IF the idea has not been tried - Then how can the caterer say the numbers don't work ?
I don't attend VP as much as I'd like to ............. However on a Saturday, rather than rush around and eat a pie 'on the go' - I'd prefer to sit and enjoy it whilst soaking up any banter. It appears many local eateries are tapping in to your 'potential' revenue, offering good food at affordable prices.

Arguably they can't. But having tried it at a club with 2.5 times the footfall in Sunderland, they have experience that it didn't work there. So they are not prepared to take the commercial risk and end up potentially losing a lot of money.

 

I wonder if maybe with a little help from the club the one in a million school might be persuaded to reopen the pre match facilities

 

Hi Glenn. I'm not an expert but how can people opt in without receiving a communication from the club. Surely as a current/ ex ST holder that counts as a "legitimate interest"?

I think people automatically opt out of getting bombarded with e mails from websites

 

The cafes etc on manningham lane and surrounding pre match are rammed full and do a roaring trade, Cannot believe we cannot tap in to this and bring in more revenue, Given the choice most fans would prefer the money go to the City rather than private business

 

Don't be paying for the one next to Keighley Fire Station it had peeled off last week.
