Have a look around there are plenty of days out, hobbies attractions for less than that once you have factored in programmes, sweets, drinks, burgers before or after the game maybe something from the club shop your 20.00 almost trebles
Kids today want more out of life than to sit in a freezing cold stadium for 2 hours (minimum) watching sub standard football
talk to youngsters about football these days and they assume Premier League/Champions League not struggling L2

Well said Steve. I mentioned Morrisons a few weeks back and would they be happy to regress to how they were in the 70s and 80s. Football is a business with paying customers so why be any different. We were streets ahead where we are now only 3 years ago, never mind 20 year ago in the PL!

I’ve seen poor times before and I’ll still go, but I wouldn’t judge anyone who doesn’t. And just because I go doesn’t make me happy with the status quo.

It worries me when we have board members on here just hoping for the best, instead of giving us positivity with a way forward. When we have that and the manager saying let’s see what crops up it makes it difficult to be positive.

We have absolutely to plan or direction at the top make no mistake about it, it’s cheap and let’s hope for the best are our go to strategy. Not good enough.

Absolutely if the directors were to read some of the positive quotes on here we would stay where we are languishing in L2 forever am all for positivety but when associate directors and the manager can't/won't offer any the picture looks bleak
Our main strategy seems to be "throw the supporters some cheap tickets to keep them quiet" not good enough am afraid put a succesful team on the pitch and you won't have need for cheap season tickets the club should be leading the way on this
Your analogy with Morrisons drifting back back to the70s/80s is excellent if they did that they wouldn't be in business we as a club are no different

Its true about kids these days, rather be in maccy Ds on their top of the range iPhones costing a grand - Its not like the old days where you got an Orange for xmas! £7 footy wont cut it without making it edge of the seat stuff why support Bradford when your school mates watch Man U and Liverpool on Sky

We need to put a successful team out we cant rely on people just turning up and Lenny throwing boiled sweets like we did not that long ago!

I feel we are too soft and matey in our club, who are the winners at the top. It has transferred onto the pitch -the attitude it doesnt matter.

Who tells Rhodes when he is wrong? Ryan Sparks? Unlikely.

We have a lot of young supporters, they are the club’s lifeline for the future and we need to keep them interested in the BCFC journey!

When I read comments on here regarding board members I wonder if the associate directors have any input in the running of the club?
I thought the position was merely a sponsorship deal ?

Just wait until the new CEO comes in and outlines a plan for the next 3-5 years.

That is all we are missing right now. A plan. I get that JR doesn't want to meddle in the club any more than he has to and in a way that's good because the incoming CEO won't have anything to really unravel. He will have a blank canvas to start the next era of success at a club that at least should be lower/mid championship .

No we don't day to day. Some, like myself mostly, get involved in areas where we have some experience but day to day- no
Mostly a way of getting more income for a few perks such as Boardroom access, meal and seatin in Directors Box.

You are asking the wrong question, Rhodes has never wanted to take on the CEO job and has been here a couple of years now so why does it take a business that long to find one.
Even a poundland CEO would do.
    Something doesn't add up here.

We need a proper CEO with serious experience in running a football club and is able to drive us forward. This isn't like any other industry. It appears as though Baldwin was lined up however that disappeared when he got the big job at the football league. We can't just appoint anyone, it has to be the right person if we are to avoid another Rahic situation.

Secondly, I don't really understand all the stick Rhodes gets, everyone seems to discount the successes in the Lawn / Rhodes era but that took several years to get there. The real reason Rhodes gets stick is because he doesn't talk publicly (and I can understand why). That doesn't mean he doesn't have a plan / strategy and isn't heavily involved in the daily running of the club - Sparks has basically said as much.

No real issues with Rhodes for me but I wish we did have someone with a more public persona.

Rhodes doesn't want to do the job and you want "a proper CEO with serious? experience in running a football club"
So go out and appoint one then.
O hang on, it has to be the right person so we'll just hang around for a few more years waiting for someone to show up.

Agreed, but still better than bringing in a poundland CEO.

Does anybody seriously believe that DB would have swapped a job as CEO of a reasonably successful, well-financed PL club for a similar job in a struggling club without two pennies to rub together in the khazi division on about a quarter of the salary?
