We do have 2 but they don't stretch right across the pitch even put together. At least 1 of them is sponsored by Shipley Bantams.

You can see at ground level that the pitch is now much more profiled for better drainage - real slope at the sides. Still the problem is that a proper long term solution means a new artificial/natural weave pitch and major drainage work. Minimum cost nearing £1 million pounds according to clubs who have recently had this done (e.g. Sheffield United). This is a big hit for fourth division team and why would you do it to improve someone else's asset?

The stadium needs vastly improving in areas like the toilets etc plus the pitch is a worry each season. Like @AJP says why should we cover the costs for someone else's asset then pay them rent.
We need to negotiate a better deal if we are to stay at VP.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Onside likes this. -
Whilst I very much agree with all you say Onside. You only have to look at Coventry City to see how issue's with a landlord could very quickly escalate, also the egg chasers from Odsal.

Look, Coventry fans won't like travelling in to Birmingham but they've shown it can work.
If Gibbs wants to bend the club over with massive replay bills then stuff him. He either buys the club back, help maintain the stadium or we look at other options such as this.
Bradford Council would soon start worrying also. Oh you want to talk to us now because you won't have rugby or football in the area.. do one you useless lazy, unambitious gits.
Bradford City needs to stop acting like a charity and get tough.
The problem for years is that they play the poor card and when you do that you get your pants pulled down.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...trevor likes this. -

I seem to remember the question being raised at the fans forum - show of hands for a new pitch, show of hands for the money to spent on players.
I think most opted for the latter.Bronco likes this. -
The option of ground sharing in L***s has been raised.
I would find it hard to go to the ‘beasts of beeston’ ground, however an option which could just about be acceptable would be Headingley.
Not been in the stadium myself, but given that the Huddersfield Giants share a stadium with the ‘Dogs’, then perhaps an option?
Trying to think outside of the narrow perimeters that people are stuck in.
From a personal point of view a more awkward journey, but not one that would totally unacceptable.
Apparently the capacity is just over 21,000.Fordy117 likes this. -
