Not sure you are right on that. Don't we train far enough up the hill to avoid the pitches that flood (which are the ones we used to train on) and behind the school itself ?

I'm pretty sure it was only this year that was an issue due to the excessive rain fall we've had and it hasn't been a problem in other years.

Our wort period in pretty much any season seem to coincide with the clocks going back, and we pick up again when they go forward. Perhaps we don't like finishing matches in the dark.

We've always had our main training pitch as Rawdon Meadows.
From since the 80s at least.
Other pitches used as back up yes but mainly the same pitch for decades.
    Evans is right.
People walk across it in the summer when it's been re laid even though it's roped off with big signs saying don't walk on the grass, letting their kids play football on it or their dogs take a crap on it.
Fans can try claim its good enough for a professional football club but if you see it getting abused like I do as I live near it and walk down daily you can see why it's knocked.

A bit of a sweeping statement to say it is flooded between November and March.

Have you any statistical evidence to back it up?

I totally accept that for a few days, certain pitches may not be playable, but has the the gym, sports hall, conditioning room, swimming pool all been out of action?

Sure Woodhouse Grove is not wholly ideal, but how does it actually compare with other Training Grounds in League One and Two?

Much better than most. Imagine the meltdown if, like Barrow, our training facility was 100 miles away. Personally I'd like us to buy our own (Manningham Mills would be ideal) but money talks, so we use the excellent facilities we have and ignore the bitter ramblings of people like Gareth Evans.

I know we have use of indoor facilities and offices etc there as I remember Gary Boreya saying he had had photos of ex players put up there to make it more our own.

You in TFC on Saturday, I think I've swung a visit with the other crew members.

As well as being the same training facilities we had before and during our Premiership days, I can assure him the facilities have been upgraded both with regards the pitches swimming pool, physio rooms, gym, canteen, ice baths etc,

    In my yoof….

Clock House opposite Manningham Park, I think also King George playing fields on Canal Rd, or the old car park behind the old main stand was converted to a fine surface and floodlights erected . ( We found a way to turn them ON) . I don’t know of any more RT.

Spot on General. 90% of the comments on this subject are for people who haven't a clue what the facilities are actually like or under what terms we use them. The term 'we train at a school' is so wide of the mark in practical terms it's a joke. We have two pitches for our exclusive use and the run of huge areas of decent grass plus a 3G pitch which is for use at times when we usually train. On top of that is exclusive use of Offices, Gym, Changing and Canteen / recreation room with Pool availability, all through exclusive entrance and with exclusive parking, plus (as EFL/FA requirement for Safeguarding) exclusive facilities for the Academy.
One post on this thread mentioned the behind scenes video which features this, the moaners and ill informed should take a look, as you say "we use the excellent facilities we have", thanks for your reality words.

He’s basing it on the river Aire occasionally floods nothing else. Clearly he’s not aware of the £m’s that’s been spent on flood defences around Apperley Bridge. I believe nearly complete ! It suits a narrative as usual.

None of them with an axe to grind , like being sacked or cast off as been useless wouldn’t sway their thought processes? Yet some repeat their comments ad nauseum as if they were true and fairly balanced?

    It’s bullshit . Fits a narrative.

In recent months the school have added a large concrete wall, which I suspect is a flood defence measure. Plus they've also added an complete enclosure over one of the 5-a-side pitches.
So it would appear money has been spent to further improve the facilities.

I get that it is probably not good enough but I am presume the alternative comes at a high price? We barely have enough money now. Rupp could fund it if he chooses to do, but doubtful.

At a very conservative guess, I'd say at least 30 million and probably a fair bit more to get the same level of facilities we have now.

How much does it cost the club for the use of these facilities?

I'd have given his article more credibility if the proper footballers to play for Bradford City bellyache at the time, Carbone, Beagrie,McCall, Hendrie, Windass, Lawrence, rather than just the rag tag and bobtails who hardly brought success to Bradford City.
Come on son you were just the same as the fellow players you've critising Evans

I could see his arguement if it was Grange, Lapage, Feversham Street but as you say we've seen when cameras have done articles inside they are more than fit for purpose.

Things have changed I believe Sparks mentioned there was a huge upgrade being do at Rawdon Meadows with regards pitches and the inside facilities, certainly we have our own canteen facilities.
