In fairness, some decent balling this morning but Labuschagne batted ever so well, leaving absolutely everything that needed leaving. I notice, slips have stepped up since drinks.

Such a frustrating session so far in many respects.

ref commentary, how come it’s two Aussies only? Warne is insightful, but they are both so bias. It’s like watching the match with two Aussie mates chatting throughout behind you.

 

Like your optimism, i suspect if there is an early declaration or we bowl them out quickly the test will be over by end of day 3.

Absolutely. I told my son this morning, even if these two go on to make a century each, they've still got to go on and score big, and those underneath them need to do the same, just to get us in the position for a draw. If we survive the first ten overs of tomorrows play without losing a wicket, then I think it'll put us in a good position. But how many times have we seen the first wicket fall during the opening few overs, and then the rest collapse like dominoes. I think (hope) Stokes will have had a word with himself about his first knock, and take up the challenge.

 

It’s definitely time for some others to step up.
Can’t keep relying on Root and Stokes all the time.

 

Actually, the second new ball is available in ten overs. Expect a lot of short stuff.

 

I think I read somewhere BT haven't taken a commentary team, and are using the Fox Sports commentary which would explain it. They give Tim & Stix a run for their money on the biased scale!!
