I seriously hope you are right. I’d happily buy these two a pint or 3 for keeping us up but can’t suffer this crap any longer.

I will give them a lot of credit for the job they did to pull us clear of the relegation zone. However, I have quickly lost faith in them that they are the right management duo to push on and build a promotion side. I think the best thing all around is to thank them for a great job in saving us from relegation but time to move them back to work with the kids

Derek Adams for me, although attracting him could well depend on whether he can guide Morecambe to play off success. Whatever happens with Morecambe in the play offs, Adams has done a terrific job there. Promotion from this league already on his C.V. of course

Fans just want some logic and ambition. Sticking with the same tactics even if a bit dull is fine if getting results but when results dry up there needs be some changes, some dynamism, some invention.
A like for like sub like clock work on 72mins when losing or not winning games is not this

I don't have an issue with us keeping the ball and passing it around, if there is some intent with it - this means there needs to be movement which is dragging the opposition out of position and creating openings and overloads for our full backs and wide attacking players, it's perfectly possible for teams at this level to play like that, if they have the right players.

Unfortunately this doesn't happen with us, we're static and easily contained and it usually means the ball goes backwards and is eventually just punted up and lost.

There's also a huge issue with Cooke though. He's a decent ball player and fits in well to how we want to play but he doesn't score anywhere near enough.

A player in such an advanced role needs to be aiming at double figures for the season to help take pressure off the lone striker but I'm just not sure Cooke has the finishing ability to do that.

Of course the other solution is to have a goal threat from the wide areas like you mentioned but its probably more difficult to bring in that sort of player compared to a "10".

Nor do we have full backs who could provide the right combination of width and being solid.

Any way you spin it, we probably need a keeper, 2 full backs, centre back, DM, winger or 2 and striker for next summer.

    Almost a new side.

Sadly I think all Bradford City have that’s big is the ground. The mentality of recent years has been small club, no drive, no urgency, no ambition. Let’s see where we end up, a shared will to get in to league one and see where that takes us, have no right to get promoted, can’t challenge the salary cap, can’t sign players before the salary cap because that’s unfair, not letting him go without significant compensation and then paying him to go.
Sparks talks the talk and wants better but for too long Bradford City have been small time thinkers and a small time club.

100% agree, problem is with many fans is their view on the season is clouded by the fact that we were so close to relegation (not that I personally think that was ever going to happen) that they see been currently mid table as a sucess. Shambles really, I can't believe people can vote for anything above a 1 on the Rate our season out of 5 thread.

i am sorry but we do not need an owner at the level of Sunderlands wealth to get the club moving up the leagues. That’s rubbish. You might need one to get to the top end of championship but otherwise you need an owner with a football brain or a good set up below him.

We had no interest in being promoted this season, if thats the message from the top at the beginning of the season how do you expect the players to do it on the pitch?

Well when you have fans coming out with bizarre statements like ‘we don’t want promotion this season, we’ll wait for next season so we can celebrate’ , then it’s hardly surprising the players have the same attitude.

House price plummeted? Don’t talk nonsense. Yes maybe in areas such like BD3 and BD8 but in other areas house prices have rocketed.
I bought my house 20 years ago for £50k and now it’s worth a quarter million. I’m happy with that.

Parky stayed here years and built a good squad on a very limited money supply, The players he brought in and his loan players he could attract are now regulars in the championship, He was forced out of the club by Rahic,
When he came we were on the verge of relegation, When he left we were on the verge of promotion,

We can't keep looking in the "Former Employees" section of the filing cabinet, when searching for a new manager. It's a lazy way of operating.

Danny Cowley has always been the manager, his assistant is his brother. Watch the interviews, its always with manager Danny Cowley, not joint manager.

Based on what evidence? Last time he got a club promoted was 2014, he's another yesterday man. No. Thanks.

Apologises Park I said 10 games earlier, as Dave has pointed out worse over 15. Relegation form over a longer period than McCall had(13 games).

You keep your head in that sand all you want.
