It's a scheme for away tickets, what you describe is really about something else.
By your own comment you are suggesting the more you spend with BCAFC, the more up the pecking order you go in order to give money to another club.
Lets be hones if loyalty points didn't exist, there is a fair chance that a large majority of tickets would fall to fans who haven't even attended an away league fixture this season.

Can you imagine the furore if Man Utd suddenly announced a new scheme which meant the rich Johnny come lately’s got a ticket for the Manchester derby in front of long term travelling fans!
BCFC should stop trying to piss about with it. It works just fine as it is.
Fans who want to guarantee access to big away games should make the effort and get to more non attractive away games. It’s that simpleSteveC likes this. -
If it is a loyalty scheme for just obtaining away tickets then they might as well kept the priority ticket membership. Because as far as I can see the current scheme is no better. I can't accumulate more points to qualify for away games if I don't already have the points because I can't get a ticket for an away game. It's a catch 22.
I'm not just talking about away games here that loyalty points are used for. I'm suggesting that the more you spend, that directly benefits BCFC, the more points you get.
Those points can be used in a variety of ways. Yes, moving up the pecking order for away games is one. But offers for home games such as upgrades, or getting discounts on merch.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Storck likes this. -

They only put 1400 on sale to points holders and kept 400 back for everyone else.
I don’t think that was the right thing to do but at least it gave people a chanceSilverbantam likes this. -
What alarms me about this points system is that it is divisive. It is dividing supporters into groups with one set claiming to be the best supporters because they can attend all the away matches and the lowest of the low is supporters who can only attend a few home matches.
For me if you support your team we should be all together regardless of how many away games you attend. Money invested into the club is money they can spend on players etc etc.
I have been a supporter of this club since 1967, and the OH even longer, I have no idea how much time effort and money we have invested and I don’t regret a penny or a minute. Obviously we were very active when we were younger like all the younger fans are now. We still buy a season ticket and attend when we can.
There is no fair way to distribute limited away tickets. I would prefer the old scheme where you bought an extra ticket so you get first dibs on the away tickets. As it is now these points are useless to thousands and have every body squabbling about whether they have had all their allocation or not.Hulmebantam likes this. -

to be honest, im not sure points should be reset.
I have a fair number of points admittedly, but still not enough to reach the top 2 brackets. I just think that if someone has run up enough points for those brackets by attending away games, why should they lose them? Imagine someone has gone to 10 or more away games this year, but cannot next year because the club have chopped off a chunk of his points that they have accrued over the years. Can you imagine putting a £1000 year in a bank account and after 5 years you only have £3000 in there because the first two years no longer count.Gardscoigne likes this. -

We could draw man utd in the cup and get 9000 tickets which would still mean 4500 and more missing outKevin1954 likes this. -

There were plenty of tickets available for Colchester, Gillingham, Swindon, Walsall and Tranmere.
That’s 100 points right there not to mention the weekend / bank holiday away games such as
Crawley, Newport, Stevenage, Carlisle.Dratsab taf likes this.
