    He hasn’t done his cruciate, it’s a different injury.

    Cruiciate is a 12 month job, he’s out for 1 month.

    Painful reminder as in those days we were in Block F of the Main Stand and only the steps dividing us. They were not bad compared to the Man U fans, who seemed to want to give us their money!!
    The Norman Corner as actually a slightly higher level than the Main Stand and our Stewards just let them stand, and behave in a totally neanderthal manner!

    Yes they were horrible I have to say, given we weren't a rival whatsoever and tried to get in to the kop....given they kept beating us like 4 or 6 to nil!! And hadn't seen anything in town kick off to say that they needed revenge or respect for being overrun or similar in the town centre.

    In those days Block F of the Main Stand was a designated Family Section. Very intimidating for younger fans. Exceptionally poor, financially driven decision! The owner looking at profit rather than fan safety!

    The Man U one was when Walsh mis kicked it and Sherigham scored? Lost 3-0 and actually gave a good account of ourselves up to that point

    I was in that block right at the end next to the scum of Manchester with amongst others my young daughter. Because I had her with me, that's the worst experience following City in terms of trouble. There were middle aged meatheads jumping over and randomly hitting whoever was in their way, women and children included. I somehow managed to protect my daughter, but it wasnt pleasant, and the young stewards were frightened to death and did nothing. I managed to urge one of their fans, who I had been having a good friendly chat with over the fence prior to the match, to calm everyone down.

    Thankfully, it didnt put my daughter off attending after that, who realised it was a one off, but still, not a nice experience for her and the other young families in the family area, as it was then

    I had to work that day, and so my wife, who actually hates football, for some reason decided to go with the rest of my family. Needless to say, she hated every minute and couldn't understand the pleasure we had watching football whilst been surrounded by thousands of mocking opposition fans. She has never been back since!

    Yes exactly as I remember it. My daughter was also very anxious, but thankfully despite the experience is still a Season Ticket holder.
    If I remember correctly the dividing wall had not been finished and some of the masonry became loose and was falling onto the steps.
    We were well beaten, but the whole experience was made far worse by their behaviour. I remember writing to the club, suggesting that the away fans in that area, were not allocated tickets to future games, as the issuing club would have released numbered tickets and Manchester United would have had a record of who they were sold to as they would have had to be Season Ticket holders at Old Trafford.

    They have only won 1 game in the last 6, so maybe not as good as everyone thought they would be. I still think they will have too much for us up front. But, you never know, if our fans can create a cup tie mentality and atmosphere, the players may respond well, its a shame Jim O'Brien will miss out, as he would have revelled in this game I reckon
