Agree with that totally. However, apart from possibly Doyle, we havent got a lot more options, so the side virtually picks itself I would imagine

There's loads of snoring, you might be best in the main stand.

I could understand that the club thought we were going to have a good season and maybe that eara would be needed by City fans, but as @NorthernMonkey@NorthernMonkey says this could have been done weeks ago and saved this situation, and as I posted, no James Mason to blame.

    Everything isn’t someone’s fault.

We don’t have to always feel aggrieved about every single decision made by the club

If it was my choice, I think I might be inclined to drop NKP, leave O'Connor at centre half, start with Ball in midfield with L O'B and have Doyle up front with Miller (if hes back)

At this stage I just think we need all of the best players on the pitch

I think the paying supporter in that section has every right to be annoyed dont you, we have enough negativity around the club at the minute stuff like that doe'st help, but if you thinks its OK fine.
I'd suggest this is very much someones fault no forward thinking its hardly rocket science to generate the best income we can from a game against one of the best followed away teams.

Makes sense to try and accommodate as many away fans as possible. Would have probably made more sense to organise it a couple of weeks before the game rather than a couple of days, it was clear from other Sunderland games that they could easily sell out their allocation so leaving it late was always going to inconvenience a number of supporters. No big deal to me but then i don't sit in that stand. Personally wish they had given them the whole stand.

The lad who looks after our accounts at work is a season ticket holder at Sunderland. He’d not accumulated enough points from away games to qualify for a ticket for the away end but didn’t fancy sitting in the home end if I got him a ticket as he thought he’d struggle not to react if Sunderland scored. When I saw we’d given them an extra 300 tickets I told him, he picked up the phone to the ticket office to be told they’d already gone which was no longer than 20 mins after it had gonevon the city website.

Cause and Effect theory in action! This is a text book example of Forewarned is Forearmed (or the failure in this case). The club has not put into place effective planning in a reasonable timescale. Simple really.

Personally I am not aggrieved as I sit in the Main Stand, but it is an embarrassing example of the club not having plans for all foreseeable situations and an implementation timetable, which is reasonable.

Had they put this into place at the beginning of September, and perhaps allocated the whole of the Midland Road to Sunderland, then theclub would not have had to have stewards in the Bradford End and no segregation in the Midland Road. So from an operational point of view perhaps much simpler to manage and perhaps fewer stewards required and ultimately more profit and an attendance around 20,000.

Sunderland sell out most allocations even southern midweek games when they haven't won a game in months. As soon as they were relegated the provisions should have been made to give them Midland road and the Bradford End.

Yes, big mistake from the club to capitalise on this game. Should have been sorted when the fixtures came out that they could have the option of the Bradford end and all/half of Midland Road.

It will be the only time bar a cup game that we will get this problem. In essence the club might arguably think they have done the right thing but surely they would have known about this option when the tickets were first allocated. It was plainly obvious to anyone that Sunderland could easily sell way more than the usual top allocation given to other clubs so why not allocate these tickets with the initial allocation.
Only a small criticism in the grand scheme of things but sometimes the club don't help themselves when it comes to planning. Could and should have been handled better.
