We'll have other targets just need to move on quickly now things can change fast.We might end up better for it in the end

A bit of an over the top reaction on here and on Twitter but what’s new ;)

This kind of thing happens all the time in football and while were the victims this time, we will have been the benefactors previously. Simon Parker really needs to look at his reporting though as he clearly jumped on the article from the Sun a few days ago and jumped the gun and then his report in the T&A today is frankly embarrassing. Talking about the club putting the player up in hotels etc, until he has signed the contract he can talk to whoever he wants. His agent has got his player the very best deal possible. Fair play. He would have been a very good addition but there are plenty of Jonny Williams style players out there and we clearly offered him a healthy contract meaning that we aren’t scrimping this window. We move on, its all part of the game.

The Agyei one is brilliant. A signing made by the fanbase. Alot like when Dion re-joined last summer. He had a good game against us and because he clapped our fans when coming off he is 100% signing for us.

I shouldn't even care but I'll be really interested to hear the players comments when (if) he signs for Gillingham.

Absolutely, the club have a hard job appeasing fans now unless we reveal a marque CM signing.
    Where’s Lewis O Brien these days ?

He’ll say they were always his first choice and he’s really excited to be part of a “project” to get them up a division and to where they should be.

To be fair if the Sun hadn’t have done an article then we wouldn’t have had a clue. I suspect that was a clever tactic from his agent.
What Parker was banging on about this afternoon was naive and making out we nearly had a £80mill player about to sign. No one should be pointing the finger at Bradford and while it looks sneaky by the player, I certainly dont blame him or hold it against him.

Crewe just signed Harvey Davies a keeper on loan from Liverpool for the season. Really good keeper.

    Reeves joins Wimbledon.

Teams starting to look stronger in Div 2 already.

This sort of thing has happened in football for ever, money talks.
We should send him the hotel bill, he probably just fancied a day shopping in Leeds with his missus and got us to cover the costs.
I hate it when players do this, its just greed, we offered a large increase on his wages from Swindon, Have Gillingham offered more, because that is the only way i can see him agreeing to join them.

We can't compete with the likes of Wrexham and the mighty Gillingham.

A lot of conjecture here from you. There has been nothing from the club or the player to suggest he was signing for us. Just a generic article in the Sun. There are hundreds of those every summer. To call him greedy and etc is a stretch.

you see call me old fashioned but I do hold it against him. He had obviously reached an agreement that he then reneged on. I'm not even that bothered about him as a player, I think he was a big risk, but it has wasted time and effort on City's behalf, and who knows we may have missed other opportunities thinking this deal was agreed, however naive that may be.

Looks like JWs agent played a blinder for the lad.

Crewe have been weakened by the likely exit of Aygei, how are they stronger just because they have signed Liverpool's 4th choice keeper?
