Odusina was very well regarded and Oliver scored goals regularly in the league above us over the two years before. I think giving longer contracts is the policy at the moment presumably spreads the money paid over a longer period and let’s face it if they prove a failure they get moved on or sent on loan or very occasionally paid off.

Maybe less need to throw around 3 year deals as players can see we are on the right track. If it's a toss up, they are coming to us.
Maybe that hasn't always been the case.

Long term Gilly career can only go one way . So it’s short term V longer term. There is room for both, with in mind Gilly is a free agent.
