Yeah maybe, plenty of northern lads move down late on though, Hanson just one example and to be fair, money talks and he may be looking for a big pay day to set him up.

 

I wouldn't have thought so. We should be aiming for players that are capable of at least holding their own in league one anyway, regardless of how the play offs go.

 

Mullin has got to be on more than 4.5k I'd guess some Championship clubs would pay him between 8 and 10k with his goal scoring record hes a fantastic player. Can't remember where it was I saw it but it said between 6 and 7 k now and they got 250k as a bonus for promotion plus gell be on a goal bonus too it that's why he'll still be at Wrexham. It's tough to see past them for the league 2 title next season already.

I saw an jnterview with Reynolds and they said that they have done exactly what you said spent the money and bought in players they think are good enough to win league 2. I'm sure they posted a 3.5 million loss for this season and a spend of 12 million so far.

 

Agree on the need for a better LB if we get to League 1. Crichlow wouldn't be good enough for League 1 (i.e. there'd be better loan options) and for League 2, I think we'd need a touch better. Not as important as improving our attacking and midfield options, but he doesn't compare to someone of Beckles quality, and that's what we should be aiming for.

Aren’t the FFP rules tighter in League 2 than the NL?

 

Craft and goals from midfield and some real pace is what is required defence with a couple of tweaks us decent enough.

Yeah I think so won't pretend to know the ins and outs but was told by someone on here they can stick the money in as long as they are prepared to lose it so I assume as long as its not a loan its fine.

Fair point on Hanson but probably a lack of options forced that. Stockton will have far more choice youd think.

 

They are but Wrexham have all kinds of income - Disney deal and TV deals to stream matches in North America.

Turnover was up from £1.4m to £5.9m in 2021. Can only imagine 2022 accounts will be even higher.

 

Agree Beckles looked quality. I've a question though (not just for you FB). Do you think Stubbs is good enough for L1? His lack of pace has really started to show

 

His other qualities make up for it could do with a pacey defender beside him tgough

Players to target - Bristow, Tyreik, Chilvers, Kemp, Langstaff, Millenic Alli, Danny Johnson & Farquharson.

For loans good young prospects like Carlos Borges, Mateo Joseph, Zidane Iqbal, etc. Must make better use of loan market and avoid freebies / squad fillers.

 

With a pacy partner, I think he’d be ok. At least initially, for a season of consolidation. If we get there.

 

I can see all 3 of those young players getting some game time for their clubs next season, or loans to lower end Premier League/high end Championship sides.

I think the only way Bradford City are signing those 3 are if we're playing FIFA.

 

Well Stubbs wasnt deemed good enough for Exeter in L1 so there is the possible answer.
