Was more than decent at Stoke, can’t say I remember much of him at QPR.
Proper leader type.
Assuming his legs are still ok (and that there’s even any truth in this) then I think he’d be a great signing

Can’t see the Cameron rumor being true. This is the article when he left QPR in the summer last year. Looks very much like he was set on a move back to the US after his time in England. Can’t see him uprooting again with his family at 36 years old to play league 2 football. However, if he did he looks like a top pro. Lots of community work, and works with the younger players too.

Doesn't look like Cameron has played DM for a while. Played CB for QPR, started as a DM at Stoke and ended up a CB. Seems to have mainly played in defence back in the US too.

Latest rumour I've heard this weekend is that we have made tentative enquiries to take the son of Robbie Savage on a season long loan.
Charlie Savage is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Manchester United. He has represented Wales at various youth international levels. He played against us in the Papa John's Trophy game at Valley Parade this season.
Like I said only a rumour at the moment nothing more.

I could see something in that. Apparently has plenty of ability and potential.

 

Your always going to get the previous club and country association with our present manager I guess.
Savage junior could be ready to take the next step up in his development.
Hopefully he might just do that with us next season.

 

I remember his being a solid PL player at Stoke. There’s a Hughes link too, but I tend to agree that coming back to L2/UK after moving back to finish his career in the States, seems unlikely.

Judging by these highlights a possible replacement or competition for Watt

 

He was solid in a solid Stoke defence - used to put him in my Fantasy Premier League team, Stoke players were normally good value. Not sure I’d come back in his shoes, however, probably good for us if he did.

 

With Watt being under 24, we hold all the cards. It would take a decent offer for us to let him go. I doubt a buying club would take the risk of going to a tribunal. Worst case scenario is he reverts to a month to month deal, on his current wages and we keep playing him for 12 months.

 

He’s out of contract. I don’t think we hold any cards….

 

We definitely do. He's under 24. As long as we offer him a contract on similar terms, we hold all the cards. We can demand a fee or it goes to a tribunal, or he stays.
