He literally said it was a non starter as Smallwood doesnt want to relocate. What more is there to say?

 

Thats true. There is obvious substance. Its just whether or not he signs.

If I remember correctly the City Vent tweet that was deleted said Harratt and Odasebe had signed, Odusina was close and Smallwood was in talks. All before Harratt was announced.

 

I'd put money on Parker being right and Dmac's denial being a smokescreen

 

DMACs denial was an odd smokescreen. Alluded interest weeks ago but a non starter as Smallwood wont relocate. Said he would be a cracking signing for us.

Looks like he has moved on.

 

Personally I'd trust Boris more than DMAC. Both spout crap though.

What price a double announcement of Odusina and Smallwood tomorrow, just before the last weekend of ST sales.......

 

Yes I saw the twatter response. We shall see, I think it’s out of our reach but one never knows , if we pay what he wants , which will consist of a huge signing on fee and he’s willing to drop two divisions we could be in the running? Let’s see, but back to statements made by club part owners, I take with a pinch of salt.

 

Think those expecting a signing tomorrow might be disappointed. I think it’ll just be the kit. We’ll space all our announcements out.

Obviously nothing guaranteed,but so far the emphasis from the Club has been on the pre-planning. We've had a few welcome tasters but I would have hoped for a bigger announcement to maximise a last minute dash for Early Bird ST's. Given that some seem to be unaware of the approaching deadline even a signing today only allows 24 hrs for take up.

 

It ends on Sunday at 11:59pm.

It used to be a good paper but like any other…..It’s old hat, much superseded by social media. It’s rare we get anything “ national” that’s not anything other than copy/paste. “Local sport” is again copied and pasted from third parties like this forum, other than items fed to SP via the club.

Read it in the T&A usually means one read it elsewhere 12 hours earlier?
