Tommy Elphick, centre back released by Huddersfield. 33 now with a wealth of experience at the highest levels. Currently recovering from knee surgery so could be a risk injury wise. Or could be another Kilgallon.....

Neal Eardley, right back released by Burton. 32 years old, best known for his stint at Lincoln which took them from NL to L1. I am pretty sure we were linked with him last summer.

Posh have also released Niall Mason and Louis Reed.

 

The one released by Town that I'd love to have here is Alex Pritchard, I remember him on loan for Swindon playing at VP, he was outstanding. We've realistically no chance, he'll be joining a Championship club

 

I think Crankshaw has more tricks, but Connolly definitely quicker....should have tried to keep Connolly in my opinion but then I am like an old record

 

Think they paid about 12m for him!!!

 

Come on, he was signed for £10 Million. That's like saying we want Jordan Rhodes. You are right on we've realistically no chance.

 

Think I read somewhere he was also on 70 grand a week.

 

Kevin van veen and Alex gillead look like leaving scunny both decent players from a struggling team. Both shown class before when going is good. Would anyone else have them?

 

Thought Gillead had really matured since he left us - picks a good pass playing more central mf than winger. He's a good age with captaincy experience.

 

No Van veen just no and Gilleads been here before we need to stop looking back at players that have been here a let's be honest failed.

I wouldn't have Cook back either he came across very much as a T & S signing. Word of warning for both Sparks and Turnbull it does not end well when anyone other than the manager has the final say on players we bring in. Hopefully we've learned that lesson now.

I'm quite encouraged we have to start a fresh up front gives us chance to properly hit the reset button.

 

Gillead looked OK in the games against us but just 3 assists and 1 goal suggests he's not really moved on since he was here.

Probably still plenty of neat and tidy stuff without much of an end product.

Van Veen has been struggling to keep a regular shirt there for a couple of seasons now, definitely not a worthwhile target.

 

Gilliead still lives in Leeds City centre, easy trip but hopefully we've moved on from past average loanees whove never kicked on.

Ed Upson released by Bristol. Good experienced holding mid, played most his career in L1. Type of midfielder we needed in January to ease the load on Sutton and Watt.

 

We're back in league Two, lads.

That means that if you've heard of them, we've got no chance.

 

Ed Upson seems like a good shout. But does he pass the realism test?

If yes, did he used to play for us?

If yes, he could be realistic.
If no, did he play for another League Two team this season but look nothing special?

If yes, he could be realistic.
If no, then sorry - totally unrealistic.

 

If the new manager is Adams - perhaps he will look to bring in Graham Carey who played i believe for him at Plymouth. He was mentioned in the January transfer window on here as wishing to leave Bulgaria and come back to the UK.

 

Muldoon linked with returning to scunny hense all departures. Surely we could get someone like him and hijack any move proved he has ability in league 2

 

With canavan we’ve got a leader at the back need the same in midfield and upfront for the spine. A Jones and a Thorne types

 

Also Will Grigg if he’ll drop down anyone?

Lives local, ex player, knows the club, a bit better than shit but not by a lot. Sounds perfect.

 

Looking at his stats it seems he raised his game against us and did little else. Like an ex, you should never go back.
