Free depends on his wage demands. Free transfer and five grand a week over two years is the more as paying a £150k transfer fee and paying three grand a week.

Completely agree though that he’s not one to push the boat out for, you can’t expect good players to play for peanuts and the love of Bradford City, but we’ve pissed enough money away on players of questionable quality and desire over the last decade, it needs a different approach.

 

Agree. Some players will become available again in a couple of weeks when they realise they dont see eye to eye with their current manager!

Yeah he was definitely playing as a deep playmaker, trying to spread the ball about as Watt would have been... a good sign for me there will still be a role for Watt within Adam's system, with Songo'o in there to give him more protection

 

I suspect we've got a couple of irons in the fire striker wise.
Sometimes signings can be like house sales: there's a chain.
We may have to wait for a club to bring someone in before 'our man' becomes available. And that club may also be waiting on another club bringing someone in before they get their man.

I wouldn't even class McAleny as a striker. We have plenty in the position he would occupy so no loss. What we need is another Cook or a fox in the box.

We need to see more of Angol playing in pre season to say exactly what we need for sure. First impressions, pacey with quick feet and held the ball up well

When he was younger his main assets were quick feet, pace and good finishing. It's unlikely that he has lost those attributes by his mid 20s. Seems like he has added the ability to hold the ball up. Makes me wonder why he has struggled to score more in recent seasons. Perhaps it has been down to lack of service in poor teams. We shall see. Hopefully Adams can get him firing when others couldn't - he seems to be good at that.
