I thought city might of named a new signing this morning to give season ticket sales a boost especially with comments stating deals are done.

 

Yeah, I thought that too, especially with the ticket office being open longer hours today. Perhaps the rumoured done deals aren't quite as done yet as some have been suggesting.

 

This is true but fans need to know what’s happening.

Don’t want bombs dropped half way through the season and excuses. Get everything out of the way before we start

 

No one is going to get 100% of calls correct and apart from Stockton the lad has been very good.

 

Yeh that will help ticket sales flow eh? Put everyone in great spirits before a ball is kicked.

Or maybe there simply isnt anything to tell. We set a budget to cut our cloth accordingly. One we feel will be competitive.

Im going for the latter.

 

Mansfield, Leyton Orient and Salford might disagree.

In terms of us we need better QUALITY signings. The next 4-5 have to be miles better than what we have signed.

Might or will? Its all speculation. Salford have money, we all know that.

You know very little about our current signings and what Adams can get out of them.

 

I think all the deals over the line have been announced now. I'm sure we are close to clinching other signings though

Our signing are ok but we need better quality.

Right now if I had to guess we will finish about 9th. However, we have time to improve.

 

Why are you waxing lyrical over Mansfield and Orient?

Yes time to improve so why are you moaning about real financial problems when reality is you know absolutely nothing!!!

 

I thought it was "who was the last proven goal scorer we signed?". Claridge was after all those names you mentioned. I suppose McClean WAS a proven goalscorer when we signed him. However, just like many others, he didn't do it for us. (Then again, neither did Claridge. 5 in 25 appearances).
Jamie Proctor. 5 goals in 18.
Charlie Wyke. 22 in 56
James Vaughan. 11 goals in 25

So in that respect, I'd say Vaughn and Wyke were proven scorers (they've both had decent seasons before us) who we signed and gave us a good return. Possibly even Cook and Novak can be classified as proven goalscorers who delivered for us. 8 goals in 25 games moreorless for the two of them.

 

I prefer to be entertained with what happens on the pitch rather than the finances of the club.

 

I dont see any indication we are in financial trouble. I think our signings look ok so far. Angol looks a suspect cheap option but prepared to give him a chance.

Cook did well here last term, Eisa has goals in him from a wide position, Threlkeld has gone up with Adams before and Ridehalgh has enough experience at this level so should be solid enough.

Agree we need more but in terms of quality it is what Adams gets out of them.

 

A successful season on the pitch doesn't mean its been a financially successful season, as we know from our past.

 

I don't disagree, for me this is the test of a good manager to get the best from the transfer budget he's been given maybe that's why we went for Adams not because of his CV and promotions but because he gets success on a small budget, that is a joke Ryan if you're reading this.
Its a social media thing to want to know all the ins & outs of the financial side of the club, I know Ryan said in future we will be more transparent but what does that actually mean, you could show some all the financial dealing and they still wouldn't be happy.
