Still awaiting the confirmation of Liam Ridehalgh from Tranmere, word was he'd already had his medical the other week.

 

These players have probably agreed contracts had the medical and gone on holiday before pre season and are probably coming in one by one for signing photos and interviews

Sounds promising. Sparks has said plenty more this week so fans need to be patient on signings and not get upset if there is nothing announced by midweek.

Plenty suggests at least 3. Looks like Songo'o, Ridehalgh and maybe that Maidenhead Striker. Could be someone completely left field like Eisa though.

Why were you frustrated? Sparks tweeted a busy week....by Wednesday/Thursday the knives were out for him. Still 3/4 days remaining to make announcements - not forgetting the 5 new contracts he agreed.

It seems if he is quiet its a lack of communication and if he is active he is chest puffing and getting ahead of himself.

I simply dont understand what Sparks did wrong

 

I wonder if we might be interested in Ryan Cooney, the Burnley right back who was on loan at Morecambe last season. He's out of contract, I imagine Morecambe will want to sign him permanently though as he was a key part of their team. It's possible we are interested in another right back if Threlkeld is primarily here as a utility player to cover several positions?

Finding another number 9 won't be easy, we need somebody who can be just as effective as Cook but who is willing to sit on the bench and wait for his opportunity. I think the only type of player willing to do that would be an ageing striker who is coming to the end of his career or somebody in the national league who has a point to prove. I'd be tempted to go down the national league route, there are a few options there who have scored 15-20 goals last season.
