    Literally that was his choice. I believe I read we were interested at one stage, but he elected to join Halifax because they allowed him to carry on being an electrician.

    Might be a load of BS ?

    Don't know how I saw it(possibly youtube) but a video release of interviews with the 2 young men who are understandably chuffed at securing their first senior contracts. I hope that they are more successful than the majority of their predecessors. I have really had high hopes of Sparkes but with all his talk of the work being done on the transfer front, I am questioning my gullibility. All I have learnt so far is we are unable to compete with Morecambe.

    Money is not everything to some players…professionally one or two may want to experience L1?

    My first thoughts were that Stockton had realised he would not be automatic choice here and could he cope with the increased level of expectancy. Either way, he, his agent or his club could have told us rather than our learning from Sky whilst having the press gathered.

    No idea what you are on about. However even if Stockton turned us down he has been with Morecambe this season and gained promotion and now will be playing in division one so a higher division with a bit of loyalty

    The way he et al did it gives them no credit. It caught us with our pants down but I'm sure a lesson has been learnt. No doubt he got a nice increase in salary.
