Purely comes down to the right deal for Songo'o. If he is getting paid what he feels he is worth he is ours. No convincing required. He is Adams boy.

 

I don't disagree that he was poor at times last season but that was not down to a lack of effort imo.

That's why I edited my post. He featured in 19 league games last season and the two semi final play offs, so 21 times in total. 17 of those were starts, 4 as a sub.

 

Could well do. Maybe a nice promotion bonus will tempt him out way.

 

Was more than that. 26 league appearences and 9 in the cup.

He was available, wasnt injured. Just not preferred for periods.

 

Not preferred doesn't strike me as an upgrade but fair enough.
It wasn't 26 league games last season though.

No, you said its unrealistic when the fact is its very realistic to expect Threlkeld AND Songo'o.

We might not even sign Songo'o, I think we do but its entirely possible. We are definitely in for him......

I'll wait to see who else we bring in but as far as back up lone front men go Novak could have been a decent member of the squad. Hopefully we get better but it'll be difficult.

 

Yeah I can't argue with that but the worry is that we end up with a young loanee that doesn't add anything to the squad so if Cook is unavailable we're toothless again.

We are after that lad from Maidenhead. From what I gather he is 6'3 target man. Hopefully pull that one off but Burton in for him. Like Threlkeld,Parker wrote an article about him so he may have already signed.

I replied to the someone basically saying it would be our best signing. We need better still.
