Mate we are cool.. I can take anything that people throw at me but I thought I would just explain why a young manager might make sense

 

There is nobody I would have loved to see succeed as our manager more than Stuart, but equally, he is the last person in the world I would want to see taking us out of the league. As that was starting to look inevitable, the right choice has been made. I hope whoever we bring in has got some balls about them because they are going to need them.

 

I feel we need some experience at the moment with this group of "players". Going forward I totally agree so yes if we bring in a young guy now he (or she) would need someone experienced in the background.

 

Cmon @Fordy117 I'm more than intrested in that comment?

 

That rules out Steph Houghton as player/manager then!

 

I did not want Stuart back. thought it was the easy option and done to please the fans. That is when we should have done a proper recruitment. Hindsight is a wonderfull thing.
I really do hope this latest stint, does not detract from Stuarts status.
Saw him come through as a youngster, playing right back i believe, before his move into midfield, you could tell he had something and so it proved. Unfortunately his spells as manager have been far less succesfull.
Where do we go from here, who knows , but this is the time for the club to appoint a manager and proper back room set up to drag us from this pit and build for the future. If we do survive , then going forward if we can maitain the fan base and with the salary cap the money should be there to do this.
I also think that Ryan Sparks , has shown that he is not afraid to take difficult decisions, sacking the club iegend 17 days after his contract extension , in my opinion takes some balls.

If we're bringing in a new spine surely the team would be suited to any style the new players suit? It's not like we've got anyone we're wanting to build a team around.

4 big 'orrible sods and the team would be fine for the stuff that PP used to play.

 

No doubt in my mind that todays decision was the right one. It was a knee jerk reaction to bring him back in the first place and I felt he was starting to lose it again. For those who think its a day to celebrate, just take a bit of time to think about how the guy is feeling at the moment and how many City fans he feels he's let down. That's the hallmark of the man, the word legend doesn't even come close.

I don't know a huge amount about Woodgate or if he has the right credentials, but I think that's the direction we need to go. A young manager who has had a bit of a sniff of management, has a point to prove and someone who the players can relate to (not another Michael Collins though!!). It's time for someone with fresh ideas, who can somehow motivate this shower of s**t to at least give us something on the pitch before the window opens.

 

How about a straight talking Irish Yorkshireman Mick McCarthy?

 

I think it needs to be an experienced Manager. Get this wrong and we're out of the football league. We need a safe selection. Being radical can wait for another day.

 

Yes, its getting pretty perilous I agree, but our track record with experienced managers with a few exceptions has not been great. Maybe as others have suggested with an experienced number 2
