Spot on and that’s why even if we some how got promoted we need positive and honest dialogue with him, nothing nasty he just needs to know we aren’t happy with his custodianship and should be encouraged to sell. No fan should want an owner who’s soul mission is just to survive and they don’t really have any interest or knowledge of football, it can’t last and it’s a big reason we’re down here like it or not. As for the budget, he provides nothing, literally nothing, the fantastic fans turning up to watch crap year in year out is what provides our supposed top 7 budget, Rupp doesn’t put his hand in his pocket, we do.

Quite right. Our recent form is encouraging, but the performances haven't been great - and results generally follow performances. And in any event, this isn't about short term results, positive or negative. We haven't reached the point we have as a fanbase overnight, its an accumulation of several years. The irony is the where criticism exists of fan disenchantment, its referred to as fickle. But the same group who criticise expect fans to be won back over by a couple of results - which in itself would be fickle!

And I agree with you, but sending off 800 letters to tell him our thoughts won’t make him sell the club for half what he wants for it just in the same way your neighbours couldn’t get you to sell your house cheap just because they don’t like you.

I've said before that if this club somehow gets a promotion, it wont be because of the Rupp model and guidelines he has set to run the club, it will be in spite of it.

If the mythical promotion was to happen this season, there is no chance the current model would bring in a competitive budget in L1. We need 15,000+ ST holders and seemingly 500,000 local commercial deals to have the budget we do now. Costs of the squad will jump massively, all players will have wage rise clauses, then you're new signings will be on a shed load more than you were funding in L2. Agent fees will skyrocket too in the league above. Without increasing ST prices by 20-25% in L1, there is no chance this model would give us a leg to stand on in L1, and he wont do that (surely!) with the current relationship between club and ownership. The promotion would NEED to have an ethos re-think, otherwise it's an inevitable relegation and another 5 year project to get us back to basics.

Of course the fans are funding the budget along with the fantastic sponsorship deals that Ryan has brought in.
The problem is where that money has been spent on poor recruitment of managers that we keep sacking / paying off and piss poor players.
If Rupp had invested millions, who’s to say all that money would be spent correctly?

Nothing to say it would, but in any organisation accountability and strategy start from the top. He decided to hire a young man who should be at the level of a media line manager not CEO because he wanted to do it on the cheap, if you buy cheap you buy twice. The people who have filled the CEO spot under Rupps leadership have been nothing short of laughable and just about sum his tenure up.

I'd suggest that's the last thing we need to do, upset your land lord great idea, just when Sparks has got him onboard again even though it might only be with regards sponsorship, you don't start threatening a businessman like Gordon Gibb we get him involved at the club and see if we can get better terms with regards our future lease.

If we want to progress... and we all do its has to be done with as much class as possible. Sparks is not the man to do that. We dont stop income we let the person who owns us know that we are not collectively happy and what are his plans...??/ One swallow does not make a season..... sorry summer.. we need to get ready to get out of the league and that is not with sustainability league 2 steadiness and hot water...... I was not a fan of Mason pointyshoes but he makes Sparks look very poor....

It worked for Mr Parkinson, promotion would certainly increase ticket sales and most other things with regards our club, hospitality, merchandise etc, but the owner certainly could help increase the value of his investment buy increasing the player budget, if we were to get promoted stick another £25 on per ticket after what we've been through since Rupp bought the club that would be a start.
    Hard hat on.........................

No way of putting it without sounding like I'm discrediting getting him back on board or any work potentially done by the club, but Flamingo Land seemingly tried to have some sort of sponsorship at most Yorkshire clubs this season. They have the same deal with us as Leeds this season, new sponsor boards at Huddersfield and York, they have the naming rights at Scarborough renegotiated and are helping them fund stadium improvements as well as being the new sponsor for the local team in Pickering.

I'm sure the club worked to make the deal happen, but working with Yorkshire based teams up and down the pyramid seems a new marketing strategy by FL.

Different kettle of fish these days even from the last promotion. The playing budget is another million more on this squad than the one of 11 years ago. Also, PP already had a L1 ready squad coming up from L2 of lads in or around their mid 20s hitting some prime years. I think it was just the right wing that had needed a change in the summer from the L2 team? McLaughlin, Darby, Davies, McArdle, Meredith, Doyle, Jones, Reid, Wells & Hanson was pretty set from the off, just needed that RW to come in with Yeates and De Vita brought in on frees. The rest were all squad fillers for the summer window...... whereas this squad would need a pretty healthy investment to be L1 ready.

Sadly I feel it's losing momentum
A couple of wins and the "Noddy Cup" Semi final has thinly papered over the cracks placating a good few
Fans need to remember who is still in charge and absolutely nothing has changed
Promotion is not an option for us with all this "sustainability" nonsense
We would be anything but sustainable in L1 under this stewardship

With promotion comes higher attendances, more TV money and a bigger payments from the EFL.
There’s absolutely no way that prices would not increase.
Yes to compete we’d have to spend more but it’s all possible.
The big jump is promotion to the Championship if we ever got close again because we’d need a 10million injection of cash just to have a chance of survival and that’s why Lawn / Rhodes bailed out because they didn’t gave enough to sustain Championship football.

Get yourself a decent sent spine in the team and add to it, a good manager doesn't need mega millions in leagues one or two, I'll have to disagree, Steve Evans is showing what can be done at Stevenage, far better than Parky in his first season in league one.

Make it £50 but don't kill the fan base that have shown their loyalty and stuck with the club through the last. 8 seasons or so, no doubt you'll say what's £50 but as we have more families attending than anytime since I've been watching let's make any increases small ones and keep having a full stadium.

But Flamingo Land had no sponsorship at Valley Parade even though Julian has had no input at the club for over nearly 4 years and I very much doubt without Ryan's input and getting him onboard it would have happened.
