I think that’s only partly true. I think there IS interest from the Asian community. I think it’s an untapped fan base to a large extent.

Added to which, there’s a large Eastern European community around Bradford now. Football is hugely popular in Eastern Europe. Maybe there’s more we can do to attract those communities to come to our games, and get their young kids coming into our academies

If you were a migrant the other way, would you have any interest in a local lower league Polish or Romanian club??

    Sorry, don't get your point.

You saying that Bradford has say 80:20 Asians or something?

Bradford has a high population and enough non Asians.

When Bradford City is packed - remember VIlla, Arsenal etc was the stadium full of Asians?

To get Bradford City full again it counts on 3 things only.

    1) Getting into the Championship then Pl
    2) Entertaning football
    3) Signing players that people know.

Not even going to talk about price.

Non die hard fans , don,t want to watch third tier football , that,s why there are few asian and eastern european people at the games .The cost of £25 on the day is way too much for floating fans to pay .

It's simple. Most people in life even though some are not winners want to attach themselves with winning.

Bradford City need to start winning and moving up a league then to the promise land and the ground will be full and floater would be happy to pay £25+ for one of games

Before we can dream of the PL or even the Championship, we have the minor inconvenience of getting out of this division and having to find some money to do that. Given that the vast majority of our home ticket income is derived from season ticket sales, out of interest how much would you be prepared to pay for your season ticket instead of the current £169 (I assume you're an adult! ;) ) rather than relying on somebody else to subsidise your entertainment?

I’m not sure. Possibly. But then, English football has more prestige. There’s a reason people want to move to England - and I’m not suggesting it’s to watch football - but why assume people wouldn’t have interest.

My family background is Eastern European. My family attached itself to city to such an extent that we’ve now had 4 generations who’ve had STs, and one member of the family who actually played for the club.

The interest is there. I think we just need to tap into it more effectively.

Create an entertaining, quality side, establish an inclusive and enjoyable match day experience and more people from all backgrounds will come to watch third tier football.

Couldn't agree with you more. I think the eastern eastern market may well be easier to tap into than the Asian market. In countries like Poland, Latvia, Slovakia etc football is a big thing. I also have eastern European roots and city was passed on to me through my father who first attended in 57. There was no man utd, Leeds or fashionable clubs for me... I was the son of a proud Polish Bradfordian. I was the only one wearing claret and amber on the playground here in Oz. Looking back Wouldn't have had it any other way. Now the next generation will be arriving soon and I can assure you that they too, will be directed in the right direction. My father is already planning to have them kitted out at birth and the itennary for the trip back 'home'

We didn’t sell out VP for a cup semi final or for a local derby with Leeds.
Why do you think Championship football will assume a full stadium?
There’s probably over 100000 Asians living in Bradford and I doubt anymore than 100 are at VP for a home league game.

Why not just admit you haven’t got a scooby, make things up and pretend ‘you know football’. In fact...... Edin, is that you....?

You need to back off. You may well disagree, but taunting fellow posters because they refuse to get in the tit for tat replies you seem to enjoy. You queried why you should receive a ban from another poster the other day, well this is just the type of post that is antagonistic and aggressive.
    Agree to disagree, that’s it.

Don’t worry about it. I think that most of the time it’s Cougars way of attempting to be funny. But like debating, he’s not very good at it, so it just comes across as arsey. I don’t mean this maliciously, but I genuinely couldn’t give a monkeys what he thinks. I’d prefer to just stick to proper discussions with those who know how to discuss differing opinions in either a witty or sensible manner.
