To ensure his selection of coach would have a better chance of success but his actually recruiting helped that fail sooner rather than later.

How many accountants who claim degrees in the subject do you know who are found not to understand accounts?

Hi Roger, thank you for the excellent reply.

As, I say Bradford City can't afford to go down as you know and my sole aim is to support the club to help get them out of this mess over the second half of the season.

I'll back down from the SR bashing now and believe that him, JR and other management can take this club forward.

    Thanks,

    Fordy

Speaking as one, I don't know too many who fit your description! I do however know a few who have claimed to be one but on closer examination have been found to have exaggerated somewhat.

I'm not aware of the significance of your cryptic comment to this discussion on Rahic's financial mismanagement. From my research on the various German accounting bodies' registers, I couldn't find any reference to one Edin Rahic!

Edin said is was £700k shortfall. The reality was under £300k.

This year Edin has overspent the playing budget massively and Rupp was completely unaware. Monthly management accounts were not provided (how many accountants came and went?). Edin's wife ended up doing the bookkeeping!

The truth was hidden from Rupp until he came over and unravelled the mess with Julian. By which time, Edin knew the game was up and he had left the club, leaving his wife and kids behind, taking off with the club car and credit card to Germany.

Rupp has had to provide additional funds (up to £1.5m) to fund us to the end of the season.

The autopsy can mull over respective blame, but the reality is that Stefan has got rid of Edin, taken control and put more money than he ever anticipated into the club. Sorting out the mess will take time, but thankfully Julian is at the helm providing a very safe pair of hands.

You were fine until they decided not to offer McArdle a new deal, before that you didn't have a bad word to say. So don't pretend you were the first to shout out about it as there were many more before you.

that just isn't true but thanks for your input.

I wasn't all that concerned about McArdle going compared with the others that left that summer, so I don't see why I'd lose my shit over it and do a complete 180 on my apparent Edin love-in til that point.

    I remember it specifically..

The rumours came out that Edin was trying to get rid of McCall from PGB I believe, and you were having non of it.. He ended up staying and you were glad, he then got rid of McArdle and that's the point in which you turned

so because I happened to not believe that McCall was leaving that meant I was completely behind Rahic and thought he was the best thing since sliced bread?

long before the McCall rumours I was voicing concern at him and the running of the club.

Just a small point. We have sold somewhere between 14,000/15,000 season tickets this year. I know not everyone turns up to every game, but that number will be reflected in the attendance figures.

The average attendance this season is 16,242 https://www.worldfootball.net/attendance/eng-league-one-2018-2019/1/

Apparently Valley Parade is a '25,000 capacity stadium. So at the maximum 8,700 and even then that would depend on the 'Away Fans' filling their capacity. So in reality about 8,000 maximum. https://www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/club/the-northern-commercials-stadium-at-valley-parade/

Secondly your suggestion that Valley Parade should be filled every home game, is unlikely to ever happen! Remember the Semi Final against Villa? Attendance: 22,245 (4,313 visitors) https://www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/news/2013/january/bradford-city-3-aston-villa-1/
Against Arsenal it was higher but not a 'full house' (23,971)
When we beat L**ds in 2014 it was only 18,750
In 2015 The FA cup game against Sunderland was 24,021 and the Quarter Final was 24,321.

So we will never get a Full House against the likes of Southend, Shrewsbury, Blackpool, Gillingham and Wimbledon.

Put very bluntly, it will not happen whatever the club does!

According to reports Julian is only in situ until the summer when unless he agrees to stay on we will need to be looking for a chief executive

I think you will find the ground was full against Arsenal. The capacity was reduced due to a lot of seats not being available like A block in main stand. Sky tv taking up a lot of room for commentary box. Put it this way if an extra 1000 had turned up for Arsenal game we wouldn’t have had room. As for quarter final v Reading tickets were very scarce if you remember as the club did a season ticket unlimited buying offer and were gone in a few hours meaning the club were scratching around trying to get season ticket holders a seat.

I rather liked the comment from George Carman QC who at the Ken Dodd trial said “ While accountants make good comedians, comedians don’t make good accountants”.

The point l am making is that despite very attractive games, they were not all sold out and the teams yet to come to VP are far less interesting than the ones l mentioned. The future games are unlikely to have the same allure. So even if the club 'paid' people a £5 to attend, l am fairly sure we would struggle to get anywhere near a full capacity. In reality the Club cannot do anything to get the ground 'Full'. Perhaps a couple of thousand more, but that is it.
