If we're being given a 43% chance of making the play offs does that not mean a 57% chance of missing out? Surely autos is now 0%

 

It's a classic case of Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics- you interpret them whichever way you wish. For what it's worth if I was a betting man 7th is what I'd be lumping on with the unpredictable results to continue!

7 points off Carlisle but they have 2 games in hand.

16 games left - possible 48 points.

It's highly unlikely we will finish in the automatic spot. 20% chance currently is about correct.

 

Can't disagree with any of that apart from 20% chance of autos being mightily optimistic on our current showing imo.

 

46 points to play for is still a lot.

We are not catching LO as that's only 24 points but 9 points (not including Carlisle 7 points plus 2 games in hand) is 37 points left to play for.

A each match goes by though that Carlisle win our percentage decrease.

 

I think whatever the percentages an automatic finish won’t happen and given our home record our play off chances depends a lot on how we do away and to keep up our away record will take some doing

 

Leyton Orient running away with it is good. Statistically that makes the points needed for 7th lower.

 

Season still over? After last night's performance, I don't think so.

Offy.... One cautionery note... False dawns. You and I have enough years to compliment my thoughts but lovely that its St David's Day and we are still in the hunt.

 

Oh sure, there is no way I'm counting any chickens, or bantams. We may yet slide meekly out of the playoff spots. But the idea that we've nothing left to play for is for the birds.
