As poor as we might have been today, the season is hardly over is it.

Does this project result in no real pattern and losing thousands of season ticket holders ????
The whole aim for a club of this size is to get out of this poor league at the first opportunity not arse around hoping that we will be ready next season ............ sorry but it simply doesn’t add up for me .......... come the summer should we stay down then no doubt there will be a mass exodus of players in and out so how does that help a two year project ?????
can the club actually afford staying down here and losing thousand of pounds doing it ?????Budgie, borderlescott, King Cole and 7 others like this. -

All games that this has happened I mean the odd one yes but that’s 5 off the top of my head and I bet you could easily bang more in there it’s simply not good enough and the sad thing is I bet there’s a few more to come before the seasons out ................ I actually thought the Rochdale games was the last of that kind of performance but that yesterday was even worse than the Rochdale game ............ you could actually make the odd excuse for that game ( the ref ) but my god there keeper like others before him could have sat with me for what he had to do ................ I bet Barrow won’t get an easier away win for the rest of the season ..............Captain Grumpy, borderlescott, Bantam-in-Greece and 4 others like this. -

After what I saw at Donny, and then Gillingham, I truly believe we have turned the corner. I know we've had a few false dawns, but something definitely seems to have clicked into place with this squad in the last couple of games. Unchanged lineup? Smallwoods roaming position more to the left of midfield, and getting forward more? More possession upfield rather than deep in defence?
They seemed to just take the Gills game in their stride and looked confident, sweeping a decent form team aside with not much effort. I also noticed the players look fitter than before?

Season isn't over but automatics probably are, even if not mathematically. We're not consistent and our home form is abysmal.

As bad as today was, and it was really bad, we've proven that we can bounce back from home defeats to crap like Rochdale and put a couple of wins together, coupled with the fact we have a couple of games in hand against a considerable number of the teams above us, there's still everything to play for, starting with a big Yorkshire derby next week backed by 4,000 away fans.
Such is the nature of this league, it's a case of win by all means necessary to get us out of the bloody thing.Bantamsteve, Bronco, vladimir and 2 others like this. -

I’m not the most optimistic when it comes to Bradford City but to say the season is over is pure click bait. Its utter rubbish. Yes we are inconsistent, yes our away form is better than our home form and yes some players flatter to decisive but did anyone really expect much else? We are in league 2 and the old cliché that anyone can beat anyone is just as true in our league as it is in any other.
Stevenage have won one of their last 5, Carlisle got done 4 nil at home to Mansfield last week and I could carry on all afternoon giving you examples of how inconsistent the division is. Our squad isn’t as good as people think it is. Its very average. We have an over inflated squad and imo the budget could have been spent far better. Players like Chapman, Smallwood and Oliver haven’t been the players we thought they were going to be. Yet despite all of that, if we win our 2 games in hand on Carlisle then we are one point from the top 3 and as it stands have another 42 points to fight for.
If you think this season is over then id suggest you need some kind of education on the way football works as you are clearly clueless. What we have to do is accept that this team will one week beat Stevenage and then as baffling as it is, lose to Barrow the following week! Its best you get behind the lads and enjoy the ride and not make silly threads which crop up on here every time we lose.Rogered Tart, borderlescott, Tom Hallett and 1 other person like this. -

Agreed, City have a regular goalpoacher and their efforts to supply him and whoever is alongside him was pitiful today.
The slow midfield wont get any quicker anytime soon as this is the way Hughes likes to play.

I have said it before and I’ll say it again, the issue in this league is that of consistency, this is proven week in week out. Anyone can beat anyone, it’s down to being in the right spot in the table at the right time to make a move at the right time. Sure we played badly today but yet again we seem to be naive and unable to raise our game against teams who treat coming to Valley Parade as their cup final.
Unless we are able to make sure we are able to raise our game above any team for every game at VP we will always struggle to get out of this league and go up in the auto’s. -
