Unlike many other businesses football is not the same, if you think the shop you get your groceries from is getting too expensive compared with others you move to another grocers, we all have a bitch about our club but would never think of leaving to watch another club.
Stefan had nothing but good things to say with regards Ryan and his team generating off pitch finance to help us to become a more sustainable club without Stefan contributing more each season, lets hope they can go further with the off field generating finance I do accept at some time the fans will have to contribute more but next season would not be the right time to make that increase IMO good call Ryan.

He is bound to say good things about Ryan but he isn't putting his hand deeply into his pockets. The club won't move forward under Rupp like this.

Stockport and other in the National league will over take us unless Rupp steps up. He is a failure of a club owner but in terms of the season tickets for next season its the right call.

I don't think summer football would be entertained by the powers that be, but just imagine many nights games like last pre-season at Brighouse a lovely early summers evening shirt sleeves, a win ;) cracking weather to watch football.
I don't think there is any doubt summer rugby saved rugby league as we knew it and although it doesn't have the pulling power of football I can remember driving back from my last company on a warm Friday evening hearing the 20,000+ crowds at Odsal.

so using the new domestic cap rate of 28p per kWh the floodlights would cost About £125 per hour, just 1p per person if we have 12,500 in.

Thanks for the info, Not sure VP has upgraded to LED lamps yet, but if not the probable cost of running them for 3 hours per game would be well over a thousand pounds per game or more so would be worth upgrading to LED which would cost around £30k but cut running costs dramatically

I'll find out for you if you like, I know the guy who fits them. Told me they weigh a ton when they have to carry them up.

Good stuff, Ask him also if he knows how much the present ones cost to run, We used to have metal Halide lamps I think,
The new LED lamps at a lot of PL grounds are programmable and they often have a light show before the game throwing patterns round the stadium

The club won't be on the domestic capped tariff. City will pay a lot for their energy as and when any pre-existing contract is up. Our hook up with Utilita won't help either, unless we get to the point where we need a pay as you go arrangement for fuel!

I know they aren’t. When I’ve had to deal with electricity supply and billing for different sized companies we have always paid less than what I paid at home, excluding VAT. I know the market is currently all over the place but even so even if we are paying double the amount it still isn’t a huge number per match

The figures I came up with, were for 2008 and the Etihad Stadium (In total they produce 436,000 watts then they are all on), which I anticipate will have a far more sophisticated and larger number of lights, than those at VP. With current LED bulbs, they are more likely to have a reduced power use. So the bill for City per game, may well be a lot lower than many anticipate.

Unless I've missed something the price for 25yr holders hasn't been frozen.. Was £120 last season. Only reference I see to 25yr is a free upgrade to the suites.

It’s a disgrace charging an extra fiver if you want a physical ticket.
What about young kids and oaps who might not have fancy smartphones

It's not an extra fiver for the season ticket.

    A. Yes. Physical season-ticket cards can be purchased for £5 on top of the cost of your season ticket, and delivered out to holders. Please note that each transaction online when purchasing physical season-ticket cards incurs a £5 delivery fee. For example, supporters purchasing two physical season-ticket cards will be charged an extra £15 on top of the cost of their season tickets and £1 Web Sales fee for the transaction (£5 for each physical card, and £5 delivery fee for the transaction, and NOT for each card)
