Season Tickets 2022/23 - 'Own The Moment' (with Poll)

They are not expecting everyone to have a smartphone they are offering the options of a physical card and if you want one then you have to cover the cost. If they were expecting everyone to have a smartphone they wouldn’t offer the option

 

I’ve just had my fourth. I expect they’ll be knocking on my door next (if they can get passed the security gate).

 

But they are penalising people with a £5 surcharge simply because they don’t have a smartphone. How is that fair?
Then when you renew you are charged £5 carriage fees for an e-ticket that incurs no postage costs.
Why didn’t they just put the ST price up by £10 and include everything ? Idiots

 

It's the right idea to

It's the way the world is evolving, people just need to accept it and get on with it. There's no point in the club investing in the app if nobody uses is. Fewer physical tickets will save money at the printers and saves a lot of plastic so financially and environmentally good for the club.
The more people using the app the more value the club can get from the app. If you want the convenience of having a physical ticket then you have to pay for convenience.

 

thhought the £5 fee was only if having something posted.

why charge everyone the extra when a lot of people would rather not have one. Less cost to the customer, less work for the club, less waste. Not sure what the downside is.

 

would you be ok if they charged more but offered a discount to those that opted out of the physical card?

 

The Clever way would have been to have charged £5 more with a discount for no physical ticket

 

It's a fiver at the end of the day... it's not a bill breaker

 

I've had more spam mails today about season tickets than I've had about bitcoin and penile dysfunction put together.

 

Fortunately I haven't received any of the others!

 

Christ it sums up this club when some are complaining about a fiver.

 

Simple. Unsubscribe.

 

How dare they not offer a discount for people who don't have/don't want to use a smartphone.

Unfortunately our cheapskate fanbase would have found a way to grumble about it whatever way.

 

Can tell it’s already practically the off season when a fiver and penile dysfunction are the main topics on here.

 

Don't think anyone is complaining about the extra fiver, it's more to do with trying to abandon the card

They're not abandoning the card, more trying to move the club into the 21st century. I can find a heck of a lot to moan about this club but I do respect where they are trying to improve. I'll expect some fans would still like to have paper season tickets.

 

Not sure why we do not have bar codes on the card and on tickets and have readers on the turnstiles instead of staff like a lot of other clubs do

 

Probably the initial cost of fitting the hardware. I expect they will upgrade as and when finances allow.

 

Because that would mean improvement and sending money.
