Season Tickets 2022/23 - 'Own The Moment' (with Poll)

Be interesting to know how many clubs will have a QR code on your phone next season for a season ticket.

 

As the technology for this sory of thing becomes cheaper you'll see more clubs doing it. They won't ever do away with cards though. Not everyone will be in position to either have a phone to do it or be able to do it.

 

I’m happy to use the app but why then do they add on a £5 carriage fee and £1 web sales fee?
In future I’ll go bother them at the ticket office in person and pay zero fees.

 

It’s not about the cost, of course a fiver is small change but it’s the principle of charging a person more for the same thing simply because they don’t have the means of using modern technology. It’s discrimination.
Imagine going to Wetherspoons and the cost of a pint is £2 if you order on the app but if you go to the bar with cash it’s £5? Would you accept that or just say £3 isn’t worth complaining about?

 

It's the future the same as banking they don't want several branches of Sandanter in Citys like Bradford they want everyone on Internet banking which is great for those with the ability/confidence to use it but at times it can be very frustrating.
The likes of my grandson carries very little money and uses his credit card for most transactions, we're on North Parade before the game and he will pay for the drinks with either his credit card or the QR code on his phone I hope .

 

I can see your point. I would have thought that a card would have been a standard issue. But with the fact the vast majority of people these days have a mobile phone capable of downloading a qr scan code then I can see where the club are also coming from. Having it downloaded to a mobile device is so much easier and is the way technology is going with cards now.

 

I’m an IT professional, I know how the world is going but currently there are still millions of older people who cannot adapt to this new way of working. In 10 years time there will be no banks on the high street and everyone will be spending various forms of crypto currency from a digital wallet on their smartphones but we’re not there yet.

 

Good idea badly executed, theres a pattern and common denominator here

 

I have forgot my phone at least 3 times (no suprise there mate) when going to home games so I will be purchasing a plastic card to put into my lanyard around my neck, yes its got that bad it takes me back to when we wore the door key around our necks on a piece of string .

 

That's what I saying many of us older end don't have the confidence with regards new technology and it can be very worrying for many, I get a lecture from the wife every time she watches the fraudsters on TV asking is our money safe.

Never had a key Bronco but I do remember gloves on a string.

 

But then you would get nothing.

to be honest the second two could have said anything as they just got deleted.

pointless sending so many with same subject so soon after each other

 

The similar situation would be if it was cheaper if you used your own glass

 

I unsubscribed last year due to the number of emails. I will be hugely surprised if I have missed anything of note, with social media and the club website

 

Now to rob when we were kids.

 

Maybe it's just me being dense but I don't understand the 'own the moment' campaign or what relevance it has to the club or us fans.
