Do the club ever put on a roadshow or family fun day type of event, to try shift season tickets?

Young kids are easily pleased and you wouldn’t even need to invest much money to make it something families would attend.

I was at Ripon Racecourse a few weekends ago and they had some footy coach bloke throwing down a few cones and organising mini matches (like bees around honey swarming around the ball aren’t they but they love it) and there was a mini goal with holes you could try kick it through.

If City sent one of the keepers and did ‘beat the keeper’ and let the kids take pens, they’d love it. Give away those shitty teddies they had in the sales baskets in the club shop if they put it in top bins.

Could take the mini shop stand we have in the Sunwin concourse and set up a few tables like they do in Billy’s coup in the Sunwin and get Billy there for the little ones.

could have a few of the new players giving short interviews to the crowd or signing shirts and autographs - kids love that stuff.

Set up a little raffle to try win a new season ticket too, maybe one of the new Macron shirts, or shift some of the old clobber. Maybe even a stadium tour or chance to be a mascot - you know, stuff that costs nothing to the club but time and that kids love.

I dunno….maybe its a naff idea…..just think we’re at that point in the year now where parents are stuck for things to do and we as a club should always be looking to get the kids - the future generations - involved. We have a cheap product that is easily marketed - a parent can take two u11 kids for what, £250 for the full season? Great value.

if you shift a few hundred season tickets from it then It’d be worth it? Could tag it on to any of the summer galas all across the district etc coming up (not sure how long til price deadline expires).

If Mark Hughes turned up, hell, loads of fully grown adults would turn up for a chance to meet a PL legend.

I have to say I called the ticket office, due to an error on my part. Previous "purchase" was promptly cancelled with accompanying email and new order, completed over the phone with new confirmation email.

Have to say, 1st class service at the ticket office. Maybe give em a call, if stuck for time or simple convenience?

Really good to read that. I don't know about you but I feel we have our club back-the bond between club and fan is growing daily.

I know there are the regular detractors but for the first time in a long time I feel a general collective of support for the club and genuine hope for next season.

The last 3 games of last season were huge for the club and even with nothing really to play for but pride we won all 3.

MH talks about a winning mentality and I believe that will be instilled into each player and alongside some more decent signings this coming season could be the start of a new era for the club.

Shh! I'm hoping the guy next to me forgets to renew in time so I can secure the seat for my 6 year old boy.

I emailed mick at the ticket with the ticket member name and seat I wanted moving from and the seat I wanted it moved to.

He sorted it out within the hour.

Think I’d be more worried about the current massive crypto collapse than ST sales.

Both daughters went off to Uni, the younger kept coming to some games, however my oldest who went to York, even came to most home Tuesday night matches! The oldest now watches on International I-Follow, whilst the youngest has a Season Ticket and gets up from London for a few games. Going to watch City has kept a live link to the area and an opportunity to see old friends and over the years I have met a lot of good people, who I am happy to spend time with, we sit together or close and meet up for a pre match pint.

I renwed in EXJ some weeks ago.

I only went to 4 or 5 games last season, due to spending lots of time in Belgium and fear of Covid crowds. So my seat was often empty. I meet a few mates on North Parade pre-match but they all go in the Kop.

Maybe I'll move back a few rows to sit with an old friend who has developed some serious mobility issues, if there are seats directly from lifts avoiding steps.

But a ST at City is based on social meeting, optimism for good football and success, not just habit. I could easily see at least a couple of good signings re-launching ST interest after the discount deadline.

I have the optimism for next season.

Under EFL regulations, each club is entitled to fix their home Saturday kick off times to any time between 11:30 am and 3.15 pm (with the caveat that they are potentially liable for away team hotel expenses should the kick off be 12 noon or earlier).

So, there is nothing, in the regulations, to stop City (or any other EFL club) from setting their Saturday home match kick off time to, say, 12:30 pm, which would not only save on floodlighting costs, but would also allow the matches to be shown on iFollow in the UK.

Thanks for the info, Not sure VP has upgraded to LED lamps yet, but if not the probable cost of running them for 3 hours per game would be well over a thousand pounds per game or more so would be worth upgrading to LED which would cost around £30k but cut running costs dramatically

Can tell it’s already practically the off season when a fiver and penile dysfunction are the main topics on here.

So why have you kicked off a discussion about 25 year ST holders then?
