In some of your earliest post you agreed with park saying those that had purchased tickets this year should be discounted if they went up you can’t have it both ways to suit your opinion so which would you like a discount or increase ?

    This year is unprecedented
But reset, set the plan that we are going to maximise with a view to improving the whole set up

we should always retain imo some pricing aimed at those who may have to budget accordingley , likewise making most of any premium we can gain from the better seats

we could publish revised pricing but offer a reduced rate for renewals

but the reset will be in place moving forward

based on 9k fans it would cost us all £50-£75 to sort the pitch properly

over 3-5 seasons we might be able to buy land for training facilities of our own

the salary cap offers large fanbase clubs line our the opportunity to get it right- i think as fans we can play our part

    Tickets from £99-£999

    Q. your opening sentence, do you think this cant be improved on massively. A. We have just appointed Lee Turnbull as recruitment director on 28/12/2020. We have Jack Lindsey as Head of Sport, Science & Medicine/Senior Academy Physio. We have a number of coaches. Yes we should always look to improve, but with a budget set aside of over £2,500,000 last season, based on the current season ticket prices, in simple crude terms, we have a £1,000,000 spare capacity, more than sufficient to continually improve those three areas.

    Q. why not want better facilities and our own.
    A. We are repeatedly told by @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler that the training facilities are a lot better. If we spent money on a training facility, then would it be guaranteed to offer a better product on the pitch than at present? I think we were told it would probably be in the region of £6-7,000,000 to build our own state of the art facility.

    Q. we could spend proper money on yhe pitch. A The pitch looks to be in fairly good shape this season.

    Q. or forever its not our ground why bother. A Your sentence is a little strange. If you mean why not spend money on the ground as we don’t own it, then apart from maintenance, that seems to make sense. Personally I would like to see quite a few improvements, but that would cost significant money, and you would have to question the wisdom of that, given ownership and the substantial rent we pay for the ground.

Q.10/20 year plan why the hell not imagine a new ground or rebuild of vp. A. I produced figures for the construction of three grounds above. Perhaps you could explain how putting up prices, say by £100 a season, would help to raise the cash for a new ground (never mind finding a location in Pennine Bradford). If we have say 14,000 paying an extra £100 + 4,000 under 18’s paying say an extra £50, that would generate £1,600,000. It would take twenty years to generate the lower figure of £32,000,000 which is the current equivalent of Wimbledon’s Stadium, which has a capacity of 9,300!

    Q. if we dropped to non league we could have cheaper season tickets. A. I don’t think anyone is looking for cheaper season tickets. Given the circumstances, the current rate is reasonable.

There is nothing to stop you setting up a crowd funding initiative if you are so minded. Raise the £1,600,000 and maybe you will demonstrate to others that your vision can be achieved, with funding from supporters, although it will be a long long haul.

I think where your plan falls down is that there is no such thing as premium in league two football.

Do you think your seat would attract a premium, based on a similar price plan to say wembley? Is that what you are afraid of?

Could we operate in championship with present set up at woodhouse

    would the pitch be adequate

Unlikely but the championship could be 2 seasons away

You do envisage a championship club in bradford

I am not advocating the fans pay for everything more that we look up look forward and have ambition, but expect to contribute

What kind of club do you want?
Which clubs would you like replicate

look around there are l2 clubs who flirt with l1 and others who have moved on

its not always purely rich owners its ambition too

all those new stadiums and training facilities, some “smaller” clubs than us once

    look up, Bradfordians often dont

Seriously? Which planet are you on? We're in L2, not the PL and Champions League.
No one in Bradford is going to pay £999 for a season ticket at VP, however good their seat is.

And nor was any PL club outside of London charging that much for their top seats last season:

So are you going to start a crowd funding initiative.?

    Post the link here.

We could even have a sticky dedicated thread on Bantam Talk, including the contribution details on it, you could post a weekly progress update.

    Why wait, why dither?

Words are one thing, action is another.

Looking forward to your constructive leadership on this.

How much is a box seat a 1911 seat a directors seat they already pay more than £999 - granted you improve the matchday experience in line but dont be blinkered

no why has it always got to be a bloody begging exercise, or a donation

just be open to paying and expecting more, you drag the club down when you should want to help push it up

    be proud and want better
But expect to pay/play a part

Lets be fair. We have spent proper money on the pitch and you could spend every penny you had on it and it wouldn't improve. The fact that it's on a hill, has a massive amount of bedrock close to the surface at the main stand side , supporting walls from previous stands and under the sub soil on the MIdland Rd side lies tonnes of railway ash tipped to make it level and a supporting wall to keep that in place, all mean that it is virtually impossible to do much more than has been done recently.

To echo what you are saying Rodders, why would we spend money on our own training facility when Rawdon Meadows is excellent and very cheap. What I see now is a club freed of the financial mismanagement that Rahic put us under and the shackles that Rhodes put in place to mend that. I'm happy to pay more for my ST but £999 for any seat in a League Two club............. that's Lynfield Mount kind of thinking.

yes but it would still be worth it to me, would even pay a little bit more! Even an away match pass at £10/12 would be worth it to watch without travel
