He went to one of Jamie's summer training camps back in 2014 when struggling a bit with fitness.

After Jamie's recent Twitter outburst would have thought he'd have been telling him to stay well clear.

 

Yeah but from a football point of view he would've told him if you do well the fans will love you and it's a great place to play football.

 

We are looking strong, we still need another goalie? Another striker? Well if Wyke won’t stay now he never will. We need an answer from him, so we can crack on.

 

Cracking signing to go with the others. My optimism is starting to return. Edin is keeping his mouth shut and letting the business they’re doing do all the talking which is great. Get the right replacement in for big Chaz and we’re good to go. Jury still out on the head coach for me though. He seems to say the right things but can he get the best out of this squad? Only time will tell.

 

Much as some complain Collins does seem to have some rep within the game, none of our signings have shown the slightest worry about the head coach.

 

Jamie Lawrence is his personal fitness coach and a good friend of his so he'll have that JL attitude

 

This is the nagging doubt. Can he manage a large squad of both young players wanting play and possible egos as the calibre of signings increase. I have to say he talks a good talk.

We've had a few keepers in so we're not struggling to attract folk, just either not offering the right money (which may be fine as we may have prioritised other areas) or not finding what we want in terms of skills.

Wonder if the Russian chap will feature again. I'd like to see George getting some minutes under his belt too though.

 

I've been thinking the same myself. All the talk of reduced budgets then spunking the sort of cash signings like Scannell will take something doesn't add up
