    First thing I thought to myself aswell. I remember there was some hype around him when he was 18 or so and appearing for the Irish youth set-up. Never quite hit the heights, but I'd welcome him here.

    Been at Huddersfield 6 years so another one who maybe settled in the area kids at schools etc, that's a decent pull on its own, hope it comes off.

    Can't believe no one has picked up the fact that if this comes off (and we have to replace Charlie) we can now field a whole new starting 11.

    Now that's a rebuild job. This looks very much like our owners didn't "trust" Stuart's judgement on players (did he have more input into Poleon/ Vince/ McCarten/ Thompson etc than we thought) and have kept money back for the summer.

    Great signing if it happens. Seen him play a handful of times, mainly in the Championship, and always thought he looked a tricky player. Very exciting. Just need to tie Wyke down to a new contract and sign another striker.

    Or they got carried away after their first season, thought we could go up on the cheap and have realised that they need to bring in quality if we want to go up. As has been stated on many occasions, recruitment was a joint effort and Rahic and Abbott were just as responsible for last season shambles.

    Moving on, I can't see Isherwood being first choice CB either. At this stage McGowan, Kilgallon and NKP are ahead of him.
