I'm not sure as you say "but what is certain is he's already cast the mould, and the style he's going to try to get us promoted with is tedious, negative, and overly cautious" is correct, Bowyer had us going very well up to the Morecambe game where we lost Donaldson, we were sitting 3rd in the table and going very well. then a similar amount of games later we see ourselves in 5th with 45 points after playing 27 games and some fans are calling for the managers head even accepting the recent performances have not been great it just goes to show no matter how fans try and dress it up overall we have been pretty consistent over these two periods which take us up to where we find ourselves now.
The next two games will test us without doubt, but after Saturday at Mansfield we will have Vaughan back and I would hope Donaldson, Devitt, Pritchard and Ismail, these sort of players have got to be a missed with regards to the over all quality of the squad.

 

All squads have injuries. Please stop using them as an excuse.

Vaughan has played most of the games for us, so let's not use him missing 2 games due to him as an excuse.

The style of play is dull! It's awful and Bradford City as a club should be ashamed of themselves of letting fans sit through it. Donaldson, Pritchard and Ismail have all played played or games for us and the football was still RANCID!

I agree @JonButterfield. What also needs to be understood and something the club need to consider is bums on seats. No one is saying we should ignore the results at the expense of entertainment, but we don’t appear to be working to a plan. Although today GB is saying we are playing classic away football catch them on the break! They have started season ticket sales early, but unless we find something to cheer about, I doubt we will make 14.000 never mind 20.000. If he can’t find the inspiration to get those players going we had better get someone in who can! They look like they have had enough, the fans can see that, and are responding in the traditional manner, booing or even more worryingly not turning up even though they have paid for their seat!!

There is no point in having stability on a cliff edge! We need to get off it then build stability

 

Can't afford to go on for months though mate.

We will be 6/7th if we lose tonight then teams have 1/2 games in hand over us and on Saturday we play Mansfield away.

I dread to think what the atmosphere will be like next Tuesday at home out of the play off spots.

Also, months we could be nowhere near the play offs and season tickets sales not going well.

I think he has 2 games to turn it around.. tonight and Saturday!

If you believe what we are seeing is the way Bowyer prefers to play why would you expect a definite improvement in the remaining months, now if were saying with the likes of Donaldson, Pritchard, Devitt or Ismail coming back it gives him more options I'd agree.

I would hope once a lot of the injured players come back the shackles will be off.... we shall see.

 

According to the WOAP article, theres an implication that the funding to bring back Doyle is partly down to an advance on the money we expect from the McBurnie deal in the summer - for Sheff Utd staying up.

That worries me. We shouldn't be letting Bowyer waste any more money on players he clearly cant get a tune out of.

 

Tell you what worries me more than that, we are spending money we are not certain we will be getting from Sheffield Utd because we think they will stay up!? I mean I know they have been fantastic this season and are highly likely to stay up, but stranger things have happened in football. They are not there yet but we have spent the money. Hope it doesn’t come back to bite us. Fairly certain it ain’t gonna but seems a bit like Lawn is back in charge again. All or nothing with a budget.

could we not have reassessed in the summer and given a clear plan with a bigger budget thanks to the next instalment of the Mcburnie money?
