He’s taking the easy way out and avoiding conflict. He needs to grow some balls and do what is right for the club.

I think the deal was offered with good intentions but they’ve (JR/RS, whoever made the call) misjudged the level of discontent.

Stuart has been afforded extra patience up to now due to who he is but even that goodwill has run out from even many long-term fans.

His excuses don’t wash. He signed these players, wanted a small squad and is setting us up each week.

We got owned by Harrogate at VP FFS - he was out thought....again. Now we’re not picking up points at all.

Rhodes hasn't got the balls to speak in public or admit he gave the worst manager in our history a contract extension. Take out Richmond and Lawn, when he had no direct influence, and Rhodes entire time at the club is a disaster. He makes Gerald Ratner look like Bill Gates.

Maybe that bit is a little harsh but I fully agree with the sentiment, yes the Rhodes family money did save us but JR has long been the root of the problems at VP

Ok, maybe recent history. But has any manager in your time had a 25% win ratio or taken us so close to non league ? I go back as far as Jimmy Wheeler and can't think of anyone worse barring Hopkin (in the interest of fairness I've discounted caretakers and Michael Collins)

I prefer to measure managers by game experience, many criticized Parky for hoof football which it wasn't but we saw far more goal mouth action than Stuarts style of play even in the season he took us to Wembley.
John Docherty style was getting the ball into the oppositions box as quick as possible, it was not great on the eye at times but proved very successful for John Beck at Cambridge United, Route One I believe it was called, Beck was a faithful disciple of Charles Hughes, the notorious FA director of coaching, Beck emphasised the importance of taking no risks in possession, getting the ball into dangerous areas as soon as possible and preying on opposition mistakes. Becks interpretation of football, based on turning defences, working the channels and loading the box, found some resistance both within the Cambridge squad and outside it, but the results were hard to argue with. at this present moment I'd take that over our resent formations/style of play, only a leg pull mate there have been poorer days but not many.
