I agree with you, it's pointless. He doesn't speak enough, he speaks too much, that video compilation is silly, what is he trying to achieve, yadda yadda yadda.

At this moment in time it's irrelevant what anyone at the club says, all that matters is what the club does.

We've extended the contracts of Stu and Kenny, we have yet to appoint anyone to the off-field team, and obviously we haven't brought anyone in as we can't.

I would have liked to have seen one or two coming in in an off-field capacity, but that's me. Everybody knows we need something great in January - or at least the players we bring in need to be fit and ready to go and better than the free agents we've not bothered trying with.

 

I want to SEE the improvements, not just
listen to more "what we're going to do
and what we need to do!"

I totally agree, mixed messages certainly helps breeds discontent and also (and rightly so in my opinion) adds fuel to the fire that this is just propaganda, words said to appease.

Talk is cheap, buy cheap is our middle name so I will very much believe it when I see it.

My first comment was an attempt at humour.I listen intently to every McCall interview.

 

Im not sure we have an alternative.
I dont think McCall would want one, in all his management career he's never had one previously. I believe
he's in panic mode, throw anything at it hoping something may pay off.
Whomever thought up these contract extentions last week - FFS they haven't half backed us in a corner now

 

He mentions it again around 14:50 in with regards 3rd party recruitment/scouting so it's got to be a positive, we need all the help we can get at the moment.

 

I fully believe we won't go down but I don't think McCall is the man to take the club forward either.

 

He’s taking the easy way out and avoiding conflict. He needs to grow some balls and do what is right for the club.

I think the deal was offered with good intentions but they’ve (JR/RS, whoever made the call) misjudged the level of discontent.

Stuart has been afforded extra patience up to now due to who he is but even that goodwill has run out from even many long-term fans.

His excuses don’t wash. He signed these players, wanted a small squad and is setting us up each week.

We got owned by Harrogate at VP FFS - he was out thought....again. Now we’re not picking up points at all.

Some influential people on the socials have been going about stability, all the clubs doing well have had a manager a long time according to them. They might have missed the points that you need the back up for the manager and you need a good manager. Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s why McCall got the deal.

 

Can anyone else think of a manager at another club rewarded for poor performance like Stuart?

 

I seem to remember that Trevor Cherry was on a rolling six month contract, its a good way to please both parties as long as the manager isn't greedy.

 

I’m certainly looking forward to hearing the interviewers questions post match. Especially if (when) we lose.

 

I don't understand this at all, he literally did a 40 minute interview with radio leeds outlining his plans and the main focus was having a good transfer window in January. Do you want the CEO to come out after every loss and apologise on twitter?
