He was the completely wrong fit for this club was Adams and a fair few on here remarked about as t the time of him joining us. To bring a manager to the club who couldn't work within the recruitment system Sparks had set up was ridiculous. You might think the sun shines out of his arse but I don't.

He conveniently forgets this. But then quite a few on here were backing Adams literally on the basis of 'but we need stability', even though the football being played under Adams was as bad as anything seen at Valley Parade.

Not during the season. You would still be backing him if he was still here.

I was initially in favour, and why not, but as the season started properly, even a blind man could see that the manager / player fit just wasn’t working in a cohesive fashion? Later proven by Hughes, that the exact same squad, bar Canavan, COULD perform as a unit.

Let’s be fair Sparks saw it, we saw it, and yes hindsight is a wonderful thing but we can’t continually defend the indefensible.

Didn't like the recruitment set up, didn't want to play young players, wasn't an endearing personality.

    Defensive, counter attacking football.

Sparks should have known all of that when he signed him, but I just don't think Ryan knows anything about football.

He doesn’t, he’s a CEO. How many in the EFL do we know that have played professionally, have a coaching badge etc. Surely the CEOs pay / consult “others” for professional footballing advice ?

I agree Kev, last couple of years it feels as though he’s had to much of a say in footballing matters(off field I mean not on), this is where a director of football or similar would have been beneficial in order to maintain continuity between playing style and managerial appointments etc. if feels like we’ve lacked footballing knowledge high up for a long time. All we can hope is between Hughes, Hodges and Gent we’ve brought in enough knowledge to build something capable of taking us forward. Mr Sparks should stick to solely business matters, not a dig at him but in any business play to peoples strengths.

It does nothing for anyone. If you organised a Rupp out protest in the car park you’d be lucky to get more than half a dozen turn up. The overwhelming majority are behind the club and those who arent are, at this stage, wasting their breath!

Don't disagree tbh but Ive said for 2 years, under Rupp we won't get promoted and the apathy of fans, will continue to allow Rupp to peddle us with poor players.
So here we are. Basement league with no top 12 finish in 2 seasons and now hitting our 4th season in this god forsaken league.

I want this club and RUPP to prove me wrong and stick my words, straight back down my throat.

If, big if, Rupp got us to the Championship I'd be extremely grateful (but not forgetful of the last 5 years). But, I have little confidence.

No, you undermine everything they say and do. Rupp is clearly backing Hughes early and Sparks has turned the commercial activity on its head. You are becoming seriously isolated in your views.

Perhaps the bigger part of Rupps previous lack of additional backing (other than he kept us afloat during covid and covered near million pound losses) is due to the apathy of the fans ? Especially those that won't have a good word said about him.

Backing him how? By selling a promising youngster? Signing average players on a free?

Commercial we no no costings for these deals. I could link up with a load of women. Doesn't mean I am sleeping with them.

You would only be sleeping with these women if they were under 3 ft tall fordy .
Only the club know the exact details of player sales and commercial deals, whatever they are it all helps the club to provide a budget for the playing squad. If we have received £250,000 plus add on's for a 16 year old that might not develop , then great . More money for Sparkie to spend.
