Town are still receiving parachute payments, which are far more than most teams income , like all the relegated teams.
They should all go straight back up in reality. Most do . Fulham, Bournemouth, Norwich, Burnley.

Like i ssy thoroughly depressing the level wd are at and accept, local club once rivals , and we are no where in comparison,,we struggle to give Harrogate a game these days. You cant use a lack of sugar daddy excuse for where we are , look to terrible decisions (eg Eoin Doyle fiasco) that see us stuck in L2, our fourth season here.

Don’t be so naive. How much money did HTFC previous owners put into the club? Teams like Man City , Tottenham, Arsenal. ManU throw money into the club, year after year after year? If a club chucks money, endlessly at a project it will eventually pay off ?. We have NEVER been in that sphere.

I remember going to Main Rd and being the best team and they didn’t have a pot to pizz in , even though they were using money that was borrowed..Endless MONEY does buy success eventually!

    Dont you be.

Take money out of the equation, bad decision after bad decision after bad decision leaves us where we are today, as we know only too well even the likes of morecambe are in a league above us. The club does settle for mediocrity, because it dishes it up every season.

The comment was about “chucking “ endless pots of money at a football club, so your FIRST point was “ Take money out of the equation “. Righty Ho!

I dont think you follow, clubs who have spent way less than bradford city are a lot more successful , and the higher up the more revenue. I think youre getting onsessed with the money side, htafc are knocking on tje door of premier league and bcfc are entrenched in L2, another Manager, another new sqiad, chasms between the clubs and we Now Class Our rivals as Harrogate. Depressing imo less So for the happy clappers.

We are where we are. Nothing we can do about what's happened to get us here, other than hopefully, finally, learn from our mistakes. Whether we will or not remains to be seen, but in terms of where Huddersfield may potentially be later today, so what? There is nothing we can do about that either so why be depressed about it?

We've been here before just what do you want fans to do, stop attending a sure way of not achieving what both you and I want for our club.
I'd suggest your just being argumentative for the sake of it with your above highlighted comment, it's not an excuse but a fact which has been discussed on here many times backed up with figures with regards what Dean Hoyle pumped into Huddersfield Town over many years, off the top of my head I think it was something like £5m per season, that sort of finacial investment can't be sniffed at.

Stop being a drama queen, if you dont think its depressing the chasm between our clubs and those once classed as rivals then iit makes no odds to me, my opinion, and i guess im not alone , ive heard all the ‘excuses’ but look at the football league tables they dont lie. You are chosing to ‘argue’ cos you dont like my opinion. No arguments from me, just how our medoicre club makes me Feel right now. A distinct lack of pride.

So Dean Hoyles millions over his time as owner are not a factor in the rise of our neighbours not rivals Huddersfield Town really?.
"the chasm between our clubs and those once classed as rivals" and I'm a drama Queen, when you look at both clubs past Huddersfield Town have been in a higher division without doing the maths I'd say out of 100+ years we have both been in the Football League they have been in a higher league 70% of the time hardly rivals apart from the fact they are a football club just down the road, you'll be calling Leeds United our rivals next.

So you quote HTFC who are knocking on the door of the Prem. Here we go! Getting where they are after being subsidised by parachute payments, after getting there in the first place, after the previous owning family chucked endless money at it. So once again you don’t help your argument, precisely because you quote a great example of money buying success. Thanks:rolleyes:

I wonder how long this strange feel good factor amongst a section of our fans will last if we have a poor start to the season. Make no mistake, the pressure is really on Hughes to get this club promoted and give the fans something that has been missing for years. I'll be honest this season I've watched a fair bit of champions League and the Europa League and really enjoyed it, league 2 and it's barely professional standard of football sucks the life out of me and I really don't want to endure another wasted season down in the khazi. I'm behind Hughes but he has to take us up at the first attempt.

No pressure for on Hughes. Firm pressure on Sparks and Rupp. Sparks one man CV building is boring. We need actions!

Rupp and Sparks are drinking in last chance saloon I feel, if this doesn’t go right under their leadership then even the most positive fans you’d feel will question if there’s any chance of any manager getting it right under them.

I'd like to think so, especially with Rupp but the excuses will flow, as has happened since December 2018 when Rahic went.

    Rupp out

Pressure is rightly on everyone at the club. The recruitment side seems to be working well. Off the field marketing activity has improved. The fans are right behind MH. For once i actually think we have a decent set up going on moving forwards. Finish the recruitment quickly and start pre season with a full squad. No time in life to keep looking backwards at was a poor season. Clean slate with MH at the helm.
