I wonder if he and Stuart will continue to lie to the fans and be caught out as we’ve seen so far this season? Vaughan, budget, ambitions, etc

I'll tell you what will make him an excellent CEO: someone who can stick the ball in the back of the net on a regular basis.

Look at the replies to the season ticket post from the club. As someone has said, tin eared and tin pot.
Absolute silence since the Harrogate game waiting for it to blow over then back at it begging for season ticket money as if nothing at all is wrong.

Im amazed this bloke has been a successful businessman. Comes across as a clueless, disinterested muppet here.
does he really expect to get his money back after making so many dreadful decisions? -

I can't believe 30% of people are still in either the yes or undecided camp.

Not sure what people are not getting here:
We will still be in League Two at the end of this season regardless of results to the end of the season, again!
We might be lucky to still be in League Two at the end of next season.
If we aren't then it's bye bye BCFC as we cannot "sustain" NL football
We need change, or a change of attitude, at the top - end of
We all (and that includes RSv and SR) should be under no illusions of the perilous position our beloved football club is in right now - it really ain't prettyPonty City, borderlescott and AngryGaz like this. -

I have met Ryan and can confirm that he is efficient, enthusiastic and gets things done. Hopefully he will continue to use that energy in a wise and balanced way, to help the club, stop the rot.
He is a local person and I recall he went to Woodhouse Grove on his CV. So rather than someone with no affinity to the area, he knows it well.
The big task will be the football side of the business. Having a club legend as the ‘boss’ could be difficult to manage.
Hopefully he can arrange for McCall to get some extra support on the football management side. You would think that a fitness conditioning/coach and possibly a sports psychologist could be recruited. I would hope that a specialist recruitment team could be identified, and not hindered by a Rahic style interference.Keefly Bantam and PlatinumChaosX like this. -

In a previously well run and forward thinking club this may have been seen as a progressive appointment. In Bradford City's case though it feels like yet another thing that's done on the cheap and if I was Ryan I'd already be feeling like I'd been set up to fail.
If he does the impossible and actually turns the club around in the short term he should be off at the first flutter of eyelashes from elsewhere because unless there's a huge change in the apathy from the bloke above him he'll only ever be treading water until the inevitable down turn. How and JonButterfield like this. -

Absolutely right that it's crazy, though, but that's where every leader at every club should be putting that in place first and foremost, and not letting fitness coaches come and go with each passing manager as if they're an assistant manager or a goalkeeping coach part of a certain manager's travelling team. Clubs themselves should be equipped with their own staff in those areas, and if Stuart doesn't think he needs it eating up part of his budget because he played until he was 40 and played through the pain barrier because he was hard, then more fool him and the people that let him make that choice, frankly.
The manager is NOT the club, but at Bradford City it pretty much feels like that's the case, and it's a catastrophe every time a manager leaves and a new manager is unable to do a better job, and THAT'S a key reason. Because Bradford City doesn't have everything in place that it needs in place from a Director of Football down a fitness coach. Just because other badly run clubs also don't necessarily have a DoF or a fitness coach is not an excuse for not gaining an advantage over them by employing a full and rigorous team before you even think about employing a manager.bailiff bridge bantam and Interested Bystander like this. -

Changed from uncertain to no. If he had learnt from past mistakes then fair enough, but to keep rolling the dice and gamble with the league status of our club, is unforgivable. Admit you're out of your depth and either get help or resign. Pride comes before a fall...
