I only mentioned Shay Grange as I heard a rumour it was subject to a planning application for housing and could be sold. It would be a shame as I play there too.

I don’t need to look at reports, first hand experience, and I found it a very good school, and it still is from what I see daily.
Are you anti private school, or what else you basing your general assumptions?

I used to use the driving range there every night when it opened in the early 90s, I know there is a proposal to build houses on the old Sharp’s site and a crematorium opposite the entrance to the golf range. Green belt so expect a bit of opposition

If you looked at the reports then it will show its not better than many other schools in the area.

No, I am not anti private school at all but as a private school compared to others its shite for sure. Not even in the same league as many in Yorkshire.

I thought the players trained at the school. I didn't realise that afterwards they attended maths and English lessons!

They've already built on the Sharpes site, behind it and I think the main building is apartments. The crem is approved and out to tender.

I was told express golf are closing and the golf course is being built on. Earmarked in the BMDC unitary plan for housing. Not sure if that will happen though, so close to Heaton Woods.

Shows how in touch I am!! Then again I left the area in ‘92, only coming back for University holidays and the odd summer working at Hallmark.
Being close to Heaton Woods won’t make a difference to the council!

it’s a good school. It’s not shite as you put, if it was why do pupils still attend?

This topic seems to be constantly rumbling.
Owning the stadium or building a new one or training facilities, is not going to happen. Bradford city do not have the money, neither does the current owner. neither did Rhodes/ Richmond, it was all borrowed and with the collapse of the tv deal, the rest is history.
There does not appear to be a money bags , white knight fool on the horizon, so we have to make the best of what we have.
Its not ideal, but i dont believe the current training facilities hold the club back at all. We have trained there for years and managed promotion and relegations before.

Nothing wrong with the training pitches, it has the stigma ‘oh but it’s school training fields’ ….grass is flipping grass and it’s had huge investment by us and Woodhouse on drainage , treatment etc.

Very true. We trained here long before we got to the Pl. It really is a huge non issue.

I think there is really only one person who cares, and I'm starting to think he might have tried to sell them a plot of land and got rebuffed songs bitter about it.

Strange as that is their address. As JCT headquarters is North of the entrance to the site of the school, further up the road towards Rawdon yet is also in Bradford. Tordoff House, Apperley Bridge, Bradford BD10 0PQ.

Your address doesn’t have anything to do with which city you live in anymore than your phone number does. They are both set for convenience regarding delivery of a service

You still lived in Bradford though. People living in East Bierley pay their rates to Kirklees, but their address is still Bradford for example.

It makes no difference to me, however it seems strange, perhaps confusing, that it is not ‘convenient’ to have an address in the place that your building is actually located.
My phone number is 07********* or prefix with a +44 so apart from being in the UK, I could be anywhere.;)
