the figure was just that, a figure with no looking into exactly how much it would be.
The point was, no matter where you are in life, purchasing land and property, improving everything about will make you money if sold at the right time.

What would training at our own facilities give to the club if they were of a poorer standard than the facilities we currently use but don't own?

An asset that you can generate commercial money from.

INSTEAD OF WASTING MONTHLY RENT AND MAINTENANCE COSTS!

Can’t even believe you are asking the question.

I still think the old Richard Dunne centre is the ideal location. Easy for the motorway (for those players living outside the district), lots of land, existing road/car park. Combine it with the University, perhaps other sporting clubs hiring part of it and use for youth sporting development in the community. So the Council could let City have the land on a 999 year lease, at £1 a year rent. Job is a good one!;)

Hire out the pitches, Hire out the buildings, Hire out the facilities to local teams, let the local community use the facilities.
Create partnerships that puts the club in a good light. Have a local company sponsor the site bringing in more money.
Have a media centre there which improves the club from a communications point of view.
    Have I missed something??
As my close friend who is a successful financial advisor always says spend now, everything in the future will cost more. Spend on bricks and mortar and land because despite a few bumps, its one of the very few things which is guaranteed to make you money.

The point is, your 5 million wouldn't get anywhere near to achieving a facility that is as good as, never mind better than what we use now. Double it or even triple it, and you might be closer to the truth but if you think for a minute Rupp is going to invest that sort of money, you are living in cloud cuckoo land.

If it would be such the magical money generator you proclaim it would be, why doesn't a successful businessman such as yourself get involved and invest? Sounds like it would be daft not to if I'm honest.....

That wasn’t your point to start with.

Ok. No one isn’t expecting Rupp to put in 10-15m. The club will have to put money in, commercial partners, council, maybe even Bradford uni or something.

You start conversations. Rupp isn’t interested.

All goes back to my point that Rhodes set this club back 10-20 years. To not own our own training ground or stadium is damaging and one of the reasons we as a club are failure on and off the pitch.

No, it’s not easy but go back to your statement that we didn’t have a queue of people looking to buy us and that’s because we OWN NOTHING!!

    Can’t your brain understand that?

So Rupp who was meant to take us forward has gone all Rhodes’s like because he’s given up. We need to see a little bit of ambition from the club off the pitch because Bradford City has been firmly left behind in football. It’s a joke of a club now in truth.

Have you if so what are they like, we only use certain parts of the facilities, gym, pool, physio room. canteen, etc the main facilities as you would expect are the out side pitch's and all weather pitch, and there is nothing wrong with those facilities.

I have and the point that I was wanting to make was no matter how much you might want it to feel like our own training ground/facilities, the whole place still screams at you, Woodhouse Grove School.
Pictures of all the kids sports teams, Achievement boards, the school emblem everywhere, the kids doing outdoor sports when your walking to the training pitches, everyone wearing I'm a grovian t-shirts or employees of the school wearing the schools emblem on their workwear. Even the schools moto and principles are written everywhere.
As for our main training pitches, when the team aren't on them, people walk their dogs, let them piss and shit all over the surface, large groups play football on the pitch we use nearest the Stansfield pub, even though its clearly marked BCAFC training pitch.
Back to the school though, Its a fantastic place to learn and be part of an education many of us can only dream of but i'm telling you now, it doesn't feel like Bradford City AFC's training base.

Not that great place to learn if you compare it with other schools and certainly not if you compare with other private schools.

    In fact it’s shite.

However, I agree with you main point. It’s a school and it could have everything but it screams as what it is.

But we don't use the facilities your quoting, just taking your one example of your reply "Achievement Board" that is why Woodhouse Grove can command the type of fees they do because of the achievement both academically and sports wise, the sporting facilities we use are excellent that's the point.

Thats not the point we are discussing.
We are discussing what would make Bradford City a more enticing proposition for potential new owners and players joining the club, whilst also adding value for Stefan Rupp.

So now were not discussing the facilities, yet you quote this to make a point "Can I ask also, have you ever been inside the Woodhouse Grove complex?? Like in the building??", if it is not relevant why quote it, Stefan will not be putting the type of money into Bradford City that commands the building of new training facilities, in fact I'd suggest owning our own ground would be a far better option but in the short term that wont happen either.
What would make us a more enticing proposition would be top near the of league one as we were when he bought the club.

If I won that figure on EUROMILLIONS there are several things that I would do.
First I would buy out Stefan Rupp, then buy back the ground. Then I would buy our training facilities from the trustees of that SH**E school. Then gives Derek the budget he feels he needs to take us forward. Then what?
Oh yes now the the penny has dropped. I would buyout the carwash and install Fordy as City's new CEO.
