    Sparks said last night that the recent acquisitions have taken the total spending to over 2 million. So it begs a question how are we going to bring it down to match the salary cap next year

    I suppose its a positive that he has signed early on suggesting he's been targeted rather than a panic signing late on in the window after scoring against our reserves.

    Maybe one for the future played youth at Coventry, Scunthorpe and Grimsby. Signed senior terms with Grimsby then Middlesbrough. Scored four senior goals wow .

    I’m not bashing Trueman here but why would he have been watching him for a while? I didn’t think we necessarily ‘signed’ kids/players to play in the youth team so genuinely interested.

    Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate they’ll be aware of players out there but I just don’t see why they’d be actively monitoring..

    It’s next year that concerns me many of the wages which were exempt this season will be gone and new contracts will have to reflect the cap

    So why the 'highly rated' tag? Why line the lad up for a fall. By the laws of averages most of these sort of signings won't work but thats the chance you take with any unknown signing. I hope he does go on to be a success, whether it be here or elsewhere.

    That's how coaches work out of a young player is any good with future potential to boot (see what I did there?). It's called scouting.
