Was slightly underwhelmed til I read this:

Didn't Samuels come with the 'highly rated' tag?

 

Apparently not the only striker we are in for.

I think he's another one possibly out of contract at the end of the season?

 

This seems like it’s a trueman & sellars signing compared to turnbull. Can’t be any worse than Samuels surely

 

Difference is the management duo have seen a lot of him by the sound of it. And if we are bringing in another striker hopefully with a bit of experience it can only strengthen us

 

Another Samuels or potentially an hidden gem.

Lets hope its the latter as relegation is riding on this.

 

Time will tell, not keen on silly tags like highly rated, we can judge for ourselves.

 

A quick check says he's contracted til 2022 and hasn't been loaned out before, which suggests they still see him as a prospect. Also, he was at Scunthorpe as a youth - another Turnbull connection?

 

Good luck to the lad, hope he’s a hit we need some assistance to Novak. Hopefully the other(s) to come have a bit more pedigree however, it doesn’t guarantee anything I know but when was the last you loanee striker we had who banged goals in for us? Suppose Hiwula would be the best in recent times, can’t think of any others. Hope he’s better than the last striker we got from there, George Miller!

Never heard of him but if he wants to be here and will put in his all then good luck to him. Hope he does well.

 

Turnbull would have been at Scunthorpe when Burrell was there. Might have kept track of him.

 

Is his grandad called Paul? Heard he was a great servant to his employer.

 

Lets see. I still full expect us to sign a more experienced forward, but no harm in seeing whether he's got more about him than Samuels.

 

I at least have more confidence in this signing that Turnbull / Sellars / Trueman have done some research. Will be relatively cheap but hopefully can make a positive contribution with more attacking options still to come this month

He is a back up striker, one expected to be in the first team is well down the line. No one can say we were not ready for this window (although know one or two who still might ), as to whether we have signed well only time will tell but I for one am impressed the way the club has pulled together since McC left
