It’s the FA Cup 1st round - there’s a 99% chance of any of the ties being boring. It could have been Gillingham away. I’m sure you’d rather have Harrogate at home.

Hughes deserves the season and the start of next season regardless what league we are in but I can sense the morons are turning on him and the players

 

Spot on. We should by now be building towards something, but we are not really progressing as a formation at all.

 

Can't defend a performance like this. Optimism is draining away rapidly for me. These players were scouted and studied in depth by Hughes and his recruitment team, but our performances are no where near to expectation.Where is the quality running through the squad he talks of..the odd cameo is not enough.We need consistancy from players and Management alike of a much higher standard than has been evidenced so far.I just don't see progress in the way we apply ourselves game to game and it is showing in the way we never seem to learn from our mistakes.

 

As soon as we started the pedestrian/walking foot ball I just knew we would not win this. Harrogate did the right thing and wizzed through us.

This will not do, we have to make progress otherwise we will go backwards which is what is happening.

Didn’t go just listened on the radio. TBH we have good players, but the way they are being asked to play is not working. Why Gilliard before East? Why is Banks not on from the start. Why can’t we just try 442? We need midfielders to be up with play so they can pass it to the wingers. I am so frustrated, a good cup run would have lifted the spirits.

 

The home form will ultimately be Hughes downfall.
Only the fantastic away record this season is keeping him in a job currently

I thought the first half was bad but to not even come out FLYING at the start of the 2nd half was even worse

He's shocked by today. Why?

1 win in 8, can hardly say we'll that was a performance that came out of nowhere. Been pretty much disgraceful since salford.

 

I kept hearing on the radio how poor Smallwood's free kicks were during the game, 10 shots and not one on target really isn't good enough.

 

You did the best thing by missing the game Dave (saw Paul also!) it was terrible. You could tell from the very first few minutes when walking pace couldn't even be upped what was going to happen.
Shocking all round (not one shot on target, easy game for their 'keeper), I think that even Smallwood, who was woeful, felt embarrassed at being given the MoM award that even the fans laughed at!

 

Watching Wrexham in FA cup. Reminds me off the football under Parky. It's good to watch

 

You can’t afford to have half the team missing and we’ve had that for the last 3 or 4 games minimum.

 

In terms of the lower leagues they are huge in comparison. Its all relative. And a club with those foundations would not look out of place in the Premier League.

City vs Wendy would be a superb Round 1 tie. That said prefer an easier route to Round 3 so someone from the 6th or 7th tier pelase.
