At Harrogate but no sweat, all season,our number 1 has spent more time waving his arms about after the ball has entered our net.

 

Part of me wants Salford to win the play off because they're the team everyone will want want to beat what with their luvvy owners. But I think I'd rather Fylde won just to upset the aforementioned luvvy duvvy types linked to Salford

Agreed. I was really wishing Eastleigh would win in the play off yesterday, as every few minutes, the cameras kept panning in on Neville.
Salford are a great story, I won't deny but the continuing love affair with the class of 92 and Salford.....

Anyhow, Eastleigh I felt deserved the win.

 

I've got money on Salford otherwise i'd want Fylde to go up. Can't stand the media love in with the class of 92.

 

Salford go up they will spend and be up there under Alexander.

So, Salford will be joining us in League 2. They’ll be among the favourites I’d think. I reckon they’ll be in the championship within 5 years.

 

Our odds reflect our ‘name’ rather than reality. Similar to why we were much longer odds to go down last summer than we should’ve been - and why many cashed in on it!!

 

Nobody in that list should be a "rival" of Bradford City ? Scunny , Walsall and Argyle I'd accept on the grounds they sank like us. But the rest ??..I'm expecting 4-0 everywhere where we go and 4-0 home that's because we have to start behaving like the grown up football club we are. And not cowering in a corner because we've got to face ruddy Salford City ! ???? The two clubs are about as far apart as here to Mars or should be.

 

Agreed. I have worked within the industry for 25 years and that will be a lay on betfair.

In fairness, it represents a decent opportunity to make a few quid for me.

 

I guarantee you that this summer, there’ll be at least one player linked to both us and Salford that will go there, and the T&A will feature an article and quotes from Bowyer or Rhodes referencing our inability to compete with the wages on offer. It’ll include the words ‘cut our cloth accordingly’.

 

Not a bad achievement Salford City getting 3 promotions on the trot, but when you see the sort of financial backing they have with their owners i'ts no surprise :

I'd lump on Salford City for promotion next season.

I'm sure plenty of money will be made available for quality players at L2 level. Along with the development of the Class of 92 University, and various other investments, this is all part of the building of a brand; they are very much following the approach of Manchester City a decade or so ago.

 

Teams going up from non league have been successful again the season after over the past few years, seems to be a pattern emerging. A bit of financial backing and a sound business plan and you’ll piss league 2.

 

A plan for the future eh? What we wouldn’t give for one of them right now...

 

To true mate, just the one would be enough as long as the one was Peter Lim .

 

I’d settle for a plan for the now, never mind the future.

 

They’ve got a good guy in Gary Bowyer. Give him the tools to do the job and i guarantee he will bring success to this club. Whether Rupp and Captain Admin will put these tools at his disposal remains to be seen. My spider senses tell me the answer is no.
