Have you seen their squad? Barring Rooney, Gaffney and Danny Lloyd, I wouldn’t take any of their current lot over ours - and that’s saying something.

Of course they’ll strengthen accordingly, but I can’t see them challenging for promotion next season.

Salford have momentum on their side and the feel good factor, can make a big difference in a division where there is no stand out team. I agree that after watching Salford i wasn't that impressed but i expect them to strengthen next season, a few teams over the last few seasons have done well after coming up, two of them are playing tonight.

Scunthorpe Plymouth, Walsall will be strong. All appointed or set to appoint good managers for this level.

Depends who Mansfield lose as a few out of contract (can we get Pearce as our first CB?) and I imagine forest green will be up there. Cooper is a good manager. Then Salford bound to be strong with money that will go into it.

No one to fear at alll though but let’s hope we get some quality in over next few weeks to boost our spirits

It's called pre season optimism only 4 clubs will succeed in the end

In reality we are the most uncertain team in the league
Right from the owner to the subs bench we have no idea who will be here next season
As for signing top rated players we don't even have an assistant manager for whatever reason
I truly admire your optimism but at the moment am struggling to share it

13000 fans doesn't guarantee you a home victory
Bowyer has yet to prove it for me as a City manager I know he had nothing much to work with but he hardly impressed last season will he even be here himself in the light of what happened with Todd is another question There are far too many problems/ uncertainties at the club to feel truly optimistic but let's hope you're right

Agree, although promotion in any form is never a given.
To think Herr Rupp will finance the ousting of all the contracted garbage, and to further fund Transfer fees and wages of incoming players would be beyond fantastic - So we just know none of that will happen.

 

Rivals next season? Probably macclesfield and morecambe.

 

Flicked over to watch the football last night - horrendous so turned it over. Only realised later that it was the League 2 play off game!! The standard of football was terrible. Hit me like a brick that this is what we will have to put up with next year!!
